I guess I forget who I talk to about everything. Yes, they changed his orders from Kuwait to Iraq. I am just hoping they don't change them again to Afghanistan.
Chris was originally told Kuwait also, then they switched it to Iraq. I thought the troop buildup in Afghanistan was going to be Marines and Army. Does he know what he would be doing there? Will he take his dog? When Chris joined the Navy I pictured…

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Needed to learn more about it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- That I have to let go and that I can't take care of him anymore. I am also learning that time moves very slow when you are waiting for the phone to ring or the mail to arrive. After seeing him graduate at his PIR, I relaxed knowing he was doing great and seemed happy. Now that he has graduated MAA school I see how mature and self confident he has become. He is happy and proud to be part of the US Navy and I could not be happier for him!
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

- Hi Judy, Monday the 19th is good for me that week. I forgot I have a doctors appt. on Wednesday. Friday me Steph and my parents are going away for the weekend.We are going to Hershey Park for their Halloween Celebration. If that doesn't work theres always the next week. Devin texted me a little while ago and all he said was"ACU4 in Little Creek" I have no idea what that means. All I know is that Little creek is in Virginia. I guess I have to wait until he calls later.

Angie F.- WA: HM mom said… - Hey girlfriend, I'm SO with you on the going nuts not knowing game! Turns out that call yesterday was to inform us that we will have the pleasure of his company for at least one more month! Good for Mom, more frustration for Sailor. Apparently he is caught in a bit of a catch 22...his conditional release expired in Sept., so they need to extend that or get it renewed. However, he also will need a physical in order to be shipped off to further training, only, he needs that conditional release to get the order for the physical to...get where this is going?! ARRGH!!! Now who knows when he'll get out of this insane loop. :P He is so tired of circling the airport, he just want to land this bird, or rather, take off!
Guess what they say is true, you don't know where you are going or for how long until you are holding your orders in your hand, and then they still can change! Here you went and joined the Kuwait Moms and everything. There is a Group for Iraq/ Afghan Moms too. Sucks that he'll be there longer now. the sooner he leaves, the sooner those boots will be back on the ground in the US. Hope you do get to say a proper goodbye and praying he'll have just enough leave and time. :-) Hang in there! Keep me updated please. I'll keep on praying. :)

p.s. My son called earlier, didn't leave a message. I tried to call back and couldn't reach him. I was immediately thinking "it's Oct 01, new fiscal year, do they have a date for him, is this it?!?!" I'm a bundle of nerves and he probably just called to ask if he could borrow something! LOL

- Hi Judy, Never mind how am i how are you? I haven't been on the computer for a while. Tony goes on for me and checks my stuff. I tell him any coupons, preschool or navy stuff save. I have been real busy lately and now it takes me a while to do things because of this crazy arthritis. We also didn't have a computer for about 2 weeks. Something burnt out and Tony tried to fix it. We just had to get a new one and that took a while to set up because he's busy with work.
I'm happy to hear your feeling better. How are things? I can't beleive that they called Chris already. How is he doing? How long will he be in Virgina? He must have been surprised when they called.
Devin is still in Great Lakes. He's been there for 8 months now. He finished school 2 weeks ago and is on hold for orders. He said he has no idea when he'll know something. Its just cleaning and duty unti he does.
Sorry I missed the dinner. I need to make more time to get on the computer.

- Hi Judy, Jeremy is doing well he is still in VA. He is just getting settled into his new squadron. He to will be leaving in Jan for a 6 month deployment. I miss him very much but we just saw him in July. My husband says "he's got 3 more years we can't keep driving down there" I say of course we can. I know it adds up (hotel, gas, food) but seeing our son "priceless" How are you and your mom doing? Where in VA is Chris going?
