- About me:
- I am a mother of 3 kids. My oldest is in the Navy, stationed at Port Hueneme, CA and will be deployed in August to Kuwait and Iraq. He recently got married on March 4, 2008. My daughter is almost 18, but doesn't live at home. My youngest is 11 and in middle school. I belong to Grand Valley Blue Star Mothers. We are a non-profit organization that supports the troops. No matter what your personal feelings are about the war, we should ALL support our men and women who are fighting for our freedom.

- Was concerned or afraid
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- He has made up his mind that this is what he wants to do, so I can only be there to support him. I don't want anything to happen to him or anyone else, but as he tells me, "He is willing to give his life for his country". Who can argue with that. If he can feel that strongly about his choice, then who am I not to support him.
