Hi Julie, Just wanted to say hi! I've been thinking about you. How is your son doing. I guess our sons are a week apart for graduation. I hope Ty is doing well! Matt seems great from the letters. I'm so excited for him, I just wish I could relax some. I guess it just is going to me longer than I thought. Have a great weekend!

Julie, I am not sure how far you are from the recruiter, I had to drive there. When I would call they would say nothing is here, then they said when we get it we will call. I went in on Mon 3/2 and they had it, they told me oh, if you would of not came in to day we were going to call. So it made me wonder, yeah, they don't understand what families go through. vonnie

Hi Julie, my son joined b/c on 2/10 and I got my first letter on 3/4 and first phone call on 3/6. I mostly depends on the division. Our group had to wait three weeks. It was tough hearing other moms whose kids left at the same time getting letters and phone calls. It was horrible. I had a miserable weekend last week in a kind of a funk. I didn't want to do anything other than reading this website or sleeping. I can tell you that now I am 100% on cloud nine. I have confirmation that my child is healthy and in relatively good spirits. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I had some people on the b/c group that basically told me to get over myself, its the Navy, what did you expect. Well that wasn't the responses I was looking for. (There were some awesome people on there as well!) Should you be looking for another group to join, here are a couple that are very helpful: Ask the SDC, and Warmhearted Friends. You might check if a discussion group has been formed for your PIR date. We are all like family on ours now! A lot of us are staying at Navy Lodge for PIR and we feel like we are old friends! Please don't hesitate in asking me anything or venting etc.... I am only one step ahead of you! Take care!

Hi Julie, Let me know when you hear from Ty. I think we will hear from them about the same time but, just in case we don't, let's keep each other posted.
It's crazy not knowing how they are doing.
