He will be in the same time zone as us!!! Didn't realize that - he is checking in tonight. Our son was actually at O'hare twice in 24 hours, he returned from leave and they had his travel orders ready for today. Good thing was...he was still packed!

No, we are in Atlanta now Julie - left CA awhile ago. I know some of the his classmates from A school got display orders. Yes, I love the DC area and who can beat the seafood in Baltimore!!! So hopefully he will get a chance to see both areas. We have taken vacations in both areas but Nick was younger. We maybe meeting an old FC friend of ours in Dahlgren in May. He lives in Portland now but will be traveling to VA to visit family so we told him we would try to meet him there - give us a chance to see our favorite (only) son and see some good friends in the process. My hubby loved instructor duty! Our sailor is back in GL today but is supposed to head to C school...tomorrow.

Hi Julie, wanted to stop by and welcome you to AECF group. We are an FC family. My hubby was an FC for 10 years and now my favorite (only) son is an FC as well. He returns to GL this weekend but is due to fly out to Dahlgren on Monday - he is SO happy that he was able to earn the Aegis orders! So he may very well be meeting your son soon! Which Aegis program does he teach if I may ask? My hubby used to be an FC instructor as well - we were stationed in Mare Island, CA for those orders. We look forward to having you in the group.

Hi Julie, I have a son on the TR. He has been in the Navy for close to 5 years now. He spent 3 of them over in Japan, mostly on the USS Kitty Hawk (that was decommissioned last year). He has been on the TR since it left this last Sept. He is an AT with the "Shadowhawks". I miss him alot....and I can't even imagine what it would be like to have 2 of my kids in the military. My son is planning on getting out this year when his time is up....but you just never know....he may change his mind again....lol

Well, all I really wanted to do was say "HI" and welcome you. Take care and be safe....Deb

Dear Julie,
God bless you, your surrounded by Navy!! HAhA!! I'm still new and adjusting to my missing daughter!! HAHA!!

Those a fantastic jobs both your sons have. God bless both of them. How do they like being in the Navy?
I assume they're both making it their career.

My daughter Kim was complaining that her job is the easiest to learn. I told her, it's also quite important, she reads the radar. I know I'd like to know if some missile is heading for my ship!! HAHA!!

Right now she is so bored. The ship is docked for a year, so the Sailors are doing odd jobs and she's done by 1:30 PM, with nothing else to do.
I know she can't wait until the ship moves out, she's going crazy with boredom. SHe bought a car, but still, it's a long day / evening.

I'll let you get going.
You take care and God bless.

Dear Julie,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
God bless both your sons and you!!! That's wonderful that both of them are in the Navy.

I'm still new. My daughter Kim just started on the ship, the USS Normandy in Virginia. The ship is drydocked for a year, so there's no use for her job right now. She was trained to read the radar.

What are you sons doing?
I see the groups you joined says Aviation and the other is a ship.

My prayers go out for both of them, God bless

I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara
