About me:
I am an nurse at a county detention facility (jail). I am married to a deputy and have 2 wonderful and beautiful children. My son Harley 23 who is in the DEP, and my daughter Lauren 20 and is going to school for nursing. I enjoy being a mother, photography, scrapbooking and sewing.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Be Proud, cherish every second that you can be with them. Because before we know it they have grown up and become adults. We then are proud of them in a different way. Being sucessful adults. But they will always be our little boy and little girl.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

The VFW in Spring Hill is having a Benefit Dinner & Dance on Oct. 17 @5:30..all proceeds will be used to buy supplies for our troops..the cost is $16.50 per person...would you be interested

I had a feeling that was where it was! I live in Perrysburg, just south of Toledo but we hope to be living at our cottage in Michigan during the summer and in Florida in the winter within the next year or so. My husband is an RN also and worked in the correctional facility in Toledo for a few years. Small world!

Thank you. My daughter took the pic when my son returned from a 9 month deployment in the gulf. She actually won a photography award for it and was published in a book. I'm still trying to get a copy of the book though. However, I did receive it in one of those emails that people send out and it bounces around the country saying parayers for our soldiers. It had about 10 different military pictures on it and this was one. One of my friends in Colorado sent it to me thinking that she recognized my son. One of those small world stories...lol.
