We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
I am sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope that she is getting better.
I live in the beach club off PV Dr. West. You will have to come visit! I am so glad you are close! It will be nice to have some locally!! Bryan went to PV High School and I loved it! My younger daughter is still there and I am still having a great time! Bryan has been in the Navy since February 2008. He is waiting to deploy in the next few weeks. He is excited beyond words! Absolutely loves it. I pushed the academic thing with Bryan and he enlisted after one semester at college. I think he has found his stride with the Navy. It was such a pleasant surprise after struggling through his senior year of high school. He was fine! I was the basket case because I wanted him to go to college so bad! he is my third child out of four and I just wanted him to follow suit! I should have known Bryan would do well in life as he has taught me so many valuable lessons! So off to the Navy we both went! Being me...I was trying to find out as much info as possible and while I was googling and searching the internet I found N4M on the RTC site, clicked and have been here ever since! I have met a lot of terrific ladies and have many friends in a few different states! When I first signed up, there were only a few hundred people on, today there are over 20,000 people! It is hard to keep up with all the new people coming in!
Did you go to PIR? I loved it! I love Chicago! One of the most memorable moments in my life! So your son will go to NROTC in a universtiy and then to Officer Candidate School or will he just go straight in? Or stay in the reserves? It is all such an experience! A lot to take in all at once!
Take care and I am so glad you are here!!! We should get together when you have a free minute!
