Susan S Mike's Mom said… - Hey Karen, No I am not on FaceBook. Mike is now in CA. I know Jake may be going overseas. I will keep him and you in my prayers. Mike was home for a week. I love him! I drove with him to CA -- he nearly kicked me out of his car at LAX because I would stop bitching about his speeding. Funny thing is I am home for two days and get a ticket driving 63 in a 55. -- He laughed about 10 minutes about it. He also got pulled over by the MP's for speeding so we are both losers. He is doing great. All is well here. I hope for you and your hus and the beautiful girls there everything is good. McKenzie broke up with Mike before he left this time, but calls him just as often-- we will see how that plays out. Until next time.

- Hi Karen, I haven't obviously been on in a while. It is so great to talk to Mike everyday. He just schooled up down in Florida and we have not seen him since PIR. He is hoping to come home soon. We cannot wait!. He hates FL's weather. It is 70 degrees in Northern IL today- ( I have a jacket on) He is sweating his butt off. McKenzie flew down there a couple weeks ago. They had a good time. Mike (hus) and I are doing great-- empty nesting is good. I hope all is well with you and yours. Have a safe and happy 4th ---

- Hi Karen! That is great news! I just want you to be careful and not have the same thing happen to you. We nearly lost $1000. Lesson well learned & well shared! LOVED SOME OF THE NEW PICS. - Hey Karen, It is great to talk to him. God love him he calls me about twice a day. (mommy's boy). I worried when I heard and read, the Navy changes them. Well, not my Mike, he still calling and wanting me to do things. I do believe he is more appreciative though. That would be great to meet you and your family. May 8 weekend, Joanne (youngest daughter) is graduating SIU that weekend. I told Mike to see if he get leave and take a train up. He doesn't know yet. Oh and McKenzie is flying down next weekend. (I have to wonder about her mom) I would never send any of my girls down to a horny sailor! So Mikey got a pretty good lecture. Ughhh. I hope you and your wonderful family are doing great. - About me:
- Well.. about me?? I am from Tampa, Fl.... home of the Bucs and the Tampa Bay Rays. I am a HUGE sports fan and I love my local teams. I am a Florida native, which is rare. I grew up in a small town just 20 miles from Tampa. Plant City, the Florida winter strawberry capital of the world!! I am married, and have 3 wonderful children. Two BEAUTIFUL daughters, and my youngest is my son Jacob (Jake). I am a teacher of the deaf in a public elementary school. I have been doing this job for 29 years now. I could retire next year, but still love what I do, and have no desire to retire at this time. Everyday is a NEW day with my students, so it keeps my life very interesting. Now that I have an empty nest, I need to keep working to keep me feeling ALIVE! I love my son very much and am so proud that he finally decided the direction in his life. My oldest daughter has completed her AA at USF, but still doesn't know her direction. She has now decided that she may be joining the Coast Guard. She is a Master diver and helps teach diving classes at USF. She now wants to do some sort of search and rescue and feels that the Coast Guard will point her in the right direction. So...... I may have two of three in the Military. My middle child justs wants to be a teacher. Just follow in her mother's footsteps. No military. That's just fine with me!
