Please keep the Hand family in your thoughts and prayers. They live in Kans city Mo and lost their child died in Apghanistan last Sunday. He had only been there a month. Gardner Kans! We have got to meet up for some monday night auctions.

Hi Karen, I am another Navy mom with a son at Whidbey. He is leaving on Nov. 2nd for Qatar and I noticed you had a sailor go there too. I was jut wondering if you could tell me a bit about the base. I am assuming he'll have internet connection with his wireless laptop. He knows his cell phone won't work but are there disposable cell phones he can buy on base to call home once in a while? How did your sailor like qatar? Was it hard to mail stuff there? Any and all tidbits of info would be greatly appreciated!! Hugs, Gwen

I saw Neil Diamond in concert--turned out it was just before I found out we were pregnant with our sailor! Any, Neil does a fantastic concert. I am debating whether to buy the DVD they put out that has another hour of that concert that was on TV. Both hubby and I were sad the program wasn't longer.
