Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
He has to do this on his own, I can only be there when he needs guidance. He not my little boy anymore, I have to let go. I have to support him any way I can.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
I found it! Thanks!! I will probably call the care line in the next month or so. I am jealous that the ship was in Florida.. it is so cold here in Maine! We are supposed to get a crazy snow storm tomorrow.. and I do not like the snow! I am not excited! I am moving back to MA on Friday though, so for that I AM excited!
No, Derrick is in C school still. He will be done in March and then will officially be with the ship. His schedule is a little weird.. He has school until January, is on the ship from January through February and then goes back to school through March and then is on the ship for good. Because he is on the ship, he doesn't really know much about it's plans and when it is in port and when it is not. We both wish he knew more. I wish we could find out way in advance when the sailors will be deployed. I am planning on moving to VA in May or the end of April and hopefully start working but if Derrick is not going to be there I am going to wait. If your son says anything about news he finds out, please message me or let me know! I know it is pointless to plan everything around the Navy, but I like knowing where my life is taking me :) Thank you for all your help!!
WEll talked to Mike today they cant see him again until Sept so I'm getting a Neorolgist to request his medical records and see what he sees and told Mike to get leave to come home and the DR will see him ASAP. But that means I'll drive to bring him home since until we know what it is Planes are out of the question.
And Bummer news from Dan tonite he got dropped from Air Resue swimming beause of sinus problems. I give up these are two healthy country boys that played sports and everything.
Your right I need not to take no for a anwer. Trying to get my head screwed on straight and solve this problem quickly. As the old saying goes when there is a will there is a way. And I will find it now that the shock has worn off. Thanks for the adivce and shoulder
Hi there! Derrick just got his written orders today and it said he has to report Oct. 17th :):) He does, however, have 2-3 'C' schools so he wont officially be reporting to the ship until the end of the year/beginning of next year, but that's okay!
Hi Karen, I'm sorry to hear about Wesley's car, but glad he was able to get checked in. How amazing that so many people joined together to make that happen for him.
Did you see that giant transformer? Sounds awesome! One time I saw an old historical Victorian house being moved to another location.
