OUR NAVY MEN
It takes a special kind of woman to love our Navy men.
A woman who can smile through her tears.
Stay true through to OUR NAVY MEN
It takes a special kind of woman to love our Navy men.
A woman who can smile through her tears.
Stay true through the long and lonely years.
Who can love deep and true in spite of all her fears.
It takes a special kind of woman to love our Navy men.
A woman who can stand to be alone.
When little things go wrong she must not wail or moan.
She must be strong as the deeply buried stone.
It takes a special kind of woman to love our Navy men.
A woman who can be trusted to take a special care.
When searching eyes pull to port, she must be waiting there.
With open arms she should unite to make the perfect pair.
It takes a special kind of woman to love our Navy men.
For it takes a special man to dedicate his life to others.
To keep safe our friends, sisters, brothers, fathers and our mothers.
To do the things he knows he must instead of what he'd rather.
It takes a special kind of man to sail away from home.
To go far out to sea, to wander and to roam.
To sail along above and below the ocean's frothing foam.
It takes a special kind of man to stand and to be proud.
Even when surrounded by an angry hateful crowd.
To do his job beneath that dark and threatening cloud.
It takes a special kind of man to sail away to war.
To sail home again never knowing what's in store.
To walk off that boat or ship and still love you to the core.
Yes it takes a special kind of woman to love our Navy men.

HI. I live in central illinois also. Sigel, which is 7 miles north of Effingham on Route 45. Where is Shirley? I read that your son is in Japan for 3 years. My oldest son is in the Air Force and is at Yokota AFB for 3 years. What is the name of the navy base where your son is stationed? My second son is currently at Boot Camp at Great Lakes and graduates on 9/11

Hi Kate, Good to hear from you. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Fourth of July. Glad to hear your son made 3rd Class Petty Officer. How does he like Japan? I'm off from work today so got alot of stuff to get done. Try to get two days in one. You have a wonderful day and I will say a prayer to keep your son safe and out of harm. Hi Kate,
yes, we should be friends. I started making pillowcases for craft fairs and then patriotic ones last year when my son was deployed. I wanted him and his cubemates to have them to celebrate their birthdays with the country's. Heads at Ease pillowcase project was officially born last October, but didn't get a name until January 2009.
I'm from Milwaukee originally.

Hi. Thank you for emailing me. I hope to get the hang of using this program of emailing and sharing. Alex is getting ready for his first deployment with his ship USS Patriot - for several months. He is looking forward to visiting the different ports. I just hope he sends post cards and calls if possible. Getting use to not seeing him everyday. AS I mentioned earlier - I am more homesick for him than he really is. Thank you for listening. take care
