Profile Information

About me:
I am a PROUD Navy Mom!

I am here to support or represent my:
Kris
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Always stay strong, send an email or letter a day- just a few notes or positive quotes to lift their spirits, ALWAYS remind him how proud we are of him and how we are thankful that he is working so hard to keep us safe.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer
I Am The Mother Of An American Submariner
I give my complete and unwavering support to my submariner.
As my son serves the people of The United States of America, so I humbly offer up my prayers for his safety and the safety and health of those he serves besides.
I respect his choices to adhere to a strict moral code and a system of values that has preserved our country for over two centuries.
I accept that my submariner’s first duty is to his country and I understand that this sacrifice he willingly makes is what keeps our nation great.
I will never expect anything but the best from my submariner, for I know that a submariner’s heart is true and strong and that my submariner will endure.
I will never abandon my submariner, my son.
I will love him unconditionally. He will know I am there for him, even when he is alone.
I am disciplined, emotionally and mentally tough, learning to wait for phone calls, letters and emails home.
I, like my submariner, am serving my country. I stand ready to do whatever I can do to let my son, my submariner, know that I am here for him, beside him, I love him and I will pray for him and those serving with him.
I am the person who stands by this young man who has become a submariner

Hi Kathy, Thanks for the info. I haven't heard anything from his command. So you are probably right about me not being on his contact list. His soon to be ex wife probably gets the info. She would not contact me for anything. I'll call his boat tomorrow and try to find out the things I really need to hear. Its very difficult not hearing anything. I know he is in good hands but I still worry. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks again. I love this web site. Barb

Hi Kathy, I have no idea how to contact his OMSBUDSMAN. My sons ex-wife used to let me know what was going on. Now I'm lost. I work on the Marine Corps base. So I will try to find info there. Thanks for the direction. Barb

Karan: I cannot remember if I replied back! Is he going to Hartford? There is usually a shuttle from the base to the airports- did he check with anyone at the base? If you do not have any info yet let me know and I will look into it for you on this end- I will be on base this week. Take care, Kathy

Hi Kathy hope your holiday was great!!!! Feeling alittle under the weather and have not been on at all. Hey I was wondering Bryan has to get to the airport and really doesnt know what type of transportation would be best. The airport is 50 miles away and of course Bryan probably hasnt asked the right people on what goes over that way. Is there transportation from the base to the airport on a pretty regular basis. I am sure there are alot of sailors shipping out and going home when he is on the 27th so if u have any info that would be great. A limo or bus ride would probably be good. I bet its chilly where you are because its really cold for us in fla!!!! Okay chat soon.
