Hello, I am new to the Navy. My son left for BC Feb10,2009 and his first week is Master at Arms. I hope that is a good thing. I wanted to say hi to ladies or men in our area.

- My Son talked to Parrish after I told him I had spoken to you on this Navy for moms site. They are in the same group. Aren't you proud of these guys!!

- Jake will be going to Meridian, Missippi where he will learn human resources for the aviation side of the military. What is Parrish learning? How long is his schooling? Jake should be able to come home on leave in June. What about Parrish?

- Ha, I was going up to Sailors that looked like Parrish' photos I have seen on your pics and asking. They were very polite and I was able to thank the kids for serving. Jake said Parrish is not in his group. I had a wonderful time. Took Jake and some of his shipmates to Navy Pier today and we saw a movie and ate at Bubba Gumps. The Sailors had to return by 20 hundred hours (8pm) so I was home by 9:30pm. Ready for bed. I am glad it worked out. Nice photo of your son. Where is his A school?

- Yeah, we'll try to figure it out. Will do my best to hook you up with a photo or two of him. Sounds like the flu has spread like wildfire in Great Lakes. Jake did not want to take time off as he already has a 7 hour fire safety school to make up as he was on guard during the class. Said they have a busy week coming up and he could not afford to have more make up and possibly miss the April 10th PIR. Ha, it's a guy thing. Have a great week.

- I spoke with Jake yesterday. He has the flu and is running very high fever. He needs my chicken soup. He said they do not have a recruit named Parrish. Does your son have a nick name he may use or perhaps there are several groups within the division. Our phone time was limited so did not get to ask too many questions. Hopefully by my seeing your sons photo on your site I can find him!!

- I will ask Jake to point Parrish out if he can and I will chase him down to take a photo. When you write your son let him know I will be looking. Tell him my son is one of the recruit leaders. I think he has been promoted to Masters at Arms in the Division so Parrish knows which Jake. I will let you know via N4M if I find him and I can then upload the photo from home. Yes, my current husband raised 3 children alone and I raised two. It is exhausting but quite rewarding. Enjoy the weekend.

I got my plane and Hotel reservations for The Graduation! My son will be so happy! My Husband, Mother, and sister will meet us at the hotel April 9.I got another short letter, He says everyone knows his name already! He likes it there and isn't to over worked yet. I'll be staying at the SpringHill Suites® by Marriott® Chicago Waukegan/Gurnee

- Kathleen, did you hear from Parrish? I got a letter from Jake yesterday that simply said he had no time to write and he would write next Sunday (which would have been March 1st) and that letter will not arrive until March 10th. I imagine with you being further away you may not get mail for a few days after me.
