HI Kat, glad to hear Kevin is home and thank you for your prayers for my mom. She is doing better as we speak and her getting to see Seth was excellent. Seth is enjoying the break and has also been able to see some of his friends while home. Mostly enjoying the down time and relaxing. The week is going by too fast though and I will hate to see him leave Sat. Enjoy your time with Kevin and will talk to you soon. God Bless you and yours and again thank you for your prayers.

Hi Kat, YEAH! for Kevin coming home. Hope ya'll have a wonderful visit. I just joined Christian chat the other day and have read a lot. Haven't actually posted yet. Found theTestimony time and prayer group early on and there are some super people to interact with. Very uplifting and encouraging. Really helped me through bc time and even now, just not online as much as I was then.
I have to share my good/bad news. Seth gets to come home on leave for a week. He will be in tomorrow and we can't wait to see him. Bad news is that my mom has been very ill and that is why they granted him leave to come home. I am sure her seeing him will help, he is like her son. They have been very involved in Seth's life and she cryed as much as I did when he left for the Navy. I know you will enjoy your time with Kevin as much as we will Seth. And will hate to see them go again but not quite as bad. Blessings and talk to you soon.

Hi Kat, sounds like Kevin is doing good. That's great. I hope he does get leave, I know you will be looking forward to seeing him at least some! I know when Seth gets to come home he will be wanting to see his friends too. I am going to try and be selfish though HaHa! You asked if Seth got orders yet or not. He is on hold waiting to start A school in Great Lakes still. He's pretty tired of the cold, snowy weather though. Here spring has sprung and the we've already begun planting our garden which is what he is used to. He can't wait to finish his time there, but did say it won't be bad when they finally start getting warm weather. Oh well, part of learning to take the good with the bad and life isn't always a bowl of cherries. Hope you are doing good and blessings to you and yours!

Hi-thanks for writing. Tara just got to Japan. A bit of jet-lag. Nice warm & breezy weather. She waits about 3 weeks to get on her ship. So proud of her. Her arrival time with her ship gone is abit tough as her sponser can't greet her, but has e-mailed her frequently. Next will be the SK on the job training-on the ship. We has a great 3week visit before she took off. Take care-Lucia

Hey Kat,
Yes my son Kyle is on the USS Enterprise. He got to Norfolk right after New Years. The USS Enterprise is dry docked right now so they doing maintenance on it, but the sailors still work on it but live in barracks which they love. Your son should get a sponser who will call him or he can call and they will take care of him and show him around and what to do. I know they do some in doc classes and some fire classes. After about three weeks he will be assigned to the ship and will start working on it. From what Kyle says a lot of the SKs on there right now have been on there and are being transferred somewhere else. I guess that is why there are so many SKs getting on the Enterprise. Kyle likes it a lot better there than in MS. He said you still have to muster while doing in docs but it is usually really short. He said in MS they would have to stand in muster sometimes for over a hour waiting on people to show up. If you have any questions please ask me. I would say they will run in to each other but until he is out of in docs they probably wont because they live in different barracks.

Take Care,

Brenda

Just wanted to say Howdy, I haven't been on the sight much lately. Pray all is well. God bless you and your sailor!

Howdy, I quess that steak thing is national, HaHa. I hope Kevin does get to come home. And glad you got his phone to him it makes a difference when they can call or text. I have talked to Seth several times and it sure is nice. Seth has already been talking about when he might come home. Still home sick but not near as bad as when they were in boot camp. I didn't realize Kevin was right by Seth during grad. The young man in front of Seth is Colleen's son. It's funny that we all met online and our sons were right together like the 3 Musketeers. Her son shipped out to Florida after PIR. Is that where Kevin went? Have a super day and will talk to you soon.

Hi Kat, just wanted to check in and see how you are doing? How is Kevin? Where is he now? Seth remained in the Great Lakes for A school and is doing good other than tired of the cold weather. Texas is just a wee bit warmer! Haha. I pray all is going well and hope to hear from you soon. God Bless.

Hey Kat,
Yes, he should go to his first duty station after SK school. It could either be ship or land. All the sailors will have to do ship at one time or another. I have heard of some of them actually getting away with not having to do sea duty but I think that is rare. It just depends on where they need him the most. He should be able to pick east coast, west coast or overseas soon. TTYL Brenda
