About me:
I am joining this chat/site to ask questions regarding my son. I'll call him Weasel. Weasel is our only child. He is 26 years old and since we live in Michigan there isn't any good job prospects for him. On a personal note, I have been happily married to Weasel's father for 27 years.
I am here to support or represent my:

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My only experience with the Navy is an uncle on my side who got out as soon as he could (30+ years ago) and another uncle on my husband's side who was a career Navy man until Vietnam. His stepson joined up but was discharged due to drunkeness.

KayMac, I just joined the website because my daughter is in the process of joining the Navy. You sound really frustrated with the site so let me tell you that I'm definitely not the overbearing type. I'm nervous about my daughter joining but I'm trying to keep positive for her sake because she's really nervous. I've talked to a lot of people about this and I think it is a positive move. My daughter doesn't have any direction right now and I think it will help her. Hang on there!
