my son lives in an apartment, he shares with 2 other buddies. and the rent is very reasonable. He is much happier than he was living on the ship. The ship is very close quarters. he does spend more money on food and gasoline for his truck. lol alo...

Kelly, For some reason you have just been on my mind lately. How are you? Did your son have leave already? Mine is coming home tomorrow. He waited to take leave until after the advancement exam today so he wouldn't have to worry about having to study and stuff while he was home.

It was a pleasure. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend. As I said matt had duty Thursday but at 8am the phone rang "Come and get me ASAP" The rest of the weekend was great. he enjoyed his steak and cold beers. He will be home Oct 14th for a week. Hopefully we will meet again. Go Navy!!

Kelly, thanks, it's a shame we live so far apart... It was my pleasure to do the shirts and I'm always here if you need anything. I too will be keeping you & yours in my prayers. No, we don't know where we are staying yet. I wrote to admin and asked them what hotels are in the area and if any of them will give us a discount. I'll let you know what I find out. That would be awesome if we could stay at the same hotel. I love meeting other Navy parents. I think my husband is coing with me too. I told him I was going! So I think he decided he would go too.

I was asking the other mothers who have ABH sailors on the ship if they could help me get my husbands address. He gave me all of it but not the division... Im sure your sailor will make a lot of friends considering there are SO many on the ship.
