Melody, I reserved the Navy Inn off post, and it was only about $65.00 a night, and it is a mile from base. They said they have a cab that will take you directly to the graduation ceremony and then take another one back to the Inn after graduation.…

Hi Kelly,
Thank you so much for writing back to me. It is so comforting to talk to other Moms in the same situation & have their support. To answer your question, I am from Jacksonville, Florida. And my 17 yr old daughter also plays softball. She had tournament games all day Thursday & Friday this past week. They finished 3rd. But they had fun & had great Christian attitudes...that's what matters most.

I found out my son's graduation date is May 29th. Unfortunately, my other son is getting married on the 30th! Of course, I am excited about both & trying to figure out how I can possibly attend both events. My thought is to maybe fly out on the 28th for the graduation then fly back either the night of the 29th or morning of the 30th. I don't know if I can pull it off or not. Of course there's also the issue of affordability. I am a single Mom with a moderate income.

I did have a question I'm not sure if you know the answer or not. I don't know the closest airport to Great Lakes. Do you? Let me know.

Thanks again!

Angel

Yes Kelly I'm a little worried too. We're also driving a long ways and my mom is coming with us. Let's pray that God will keep our daughters and sons safe from this virus. Another few days before we leave. I'm counting down, and I'm sure our kids are too lol. we will be arriving late too Kelly I can't guarantee that I will be there at the gathering. I'm going to try. Hope to see you there.

Profile Information

About me:
Hi,

I'm a mom with 2 wonderful children. My son is currently in boot camp, he is 21. And, I have a beautiful daughter that is 8 years old.

I've been married to my husband Harold, for almost 10 years. He has a son that is 18 years old. So, we have mine... his, and ours. Our three wonderful kids.

I'm a stay at home mom. In my former life, many years ago... I did secretarial work for a living. For the past 5-6 years, I've been running a small home business out of my house. I make hairbows for little girls, and sell them around the country. I do a lot of craft shows, and some things locally also.

I have had fibromyalgia for many years, but have learned to cope with it. Most days are fairly decent, but with spring time and allergies on top of it... it gets me down sometimes. But, I smile through it all. :)

My biggest accomplishment though, are my children!

Proud Mama to a new recruit. :)
