About me:
I am currently an elementary school teacher. I have taught Kindergarten for the past 6 years. In 1985 the birth of my son lead me to major in Child Development at UC Davis. Since then I have been working with and learning about children in many different capacities. I would love to serve military families--it would be a way of giving back to "them" for what "they" have done for "us".
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
that there are many young men and women who will give their lives for others/strangers/a country of people.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger

Hi Kersten, I wish Chris the very best! I'm glad we have men and women like our sons who want to serve. I hope you can try to stay in touch. I don't blame you for being sick of LA. We feel very much the same. I have a lot of relatives in Washington and they are always telling me that we should move closer to them. I'm not too sure about the cold though. My son Brian is home for Christmas and will be going to SD in April. YAY! Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Kersten,
I ended up getting sick and not going to the August event. Wow! The Navy Seals, that is awesome! Scary to a mom, but a true accomplishment and something to be truly proud about. When might you move and where to up north? I hope to hear back from you soon. We should correspond more, Bye for now. :)

Hi Kersten,
I'm glad to hear Chris is back safe and sound. We had Brian home for 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. Are you going to the meet and greet in Corona on August 29th? I'm planning on it. Would love to speak with you again. Let me know. :)

Hi Kersten,
It was so wonderful to see Brian! I enjoyed my time with him. I can see that he has grown and matured so much. Now we are counting ten weeks when he will come home to see his little brother graduate from high school. I hope all is well with you. I hope another gathering will be arranged soon so we can speak more in person. Take care, Sue
