Hello all! It's been ten days since my son, Jeff, arrived safely in Guam. He loves it and is enjoying the island. He is unsure how long he'll be stationed there, but will keep us informed.

Teresa, my son was told he will be there for 2 years. He finishes MA school right before Thanksgiving and we're hoping he gets to come home on leave before heading for Guam!

- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- To be supportive of my Navy son, learn to bite my tongue and to buckle my seat belt... because it is a crazy roller coaster ride!!!!
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

- hey Kim, Tomorrow is our big day! I am taking to her recruiters station at 11:30, they will take her to MEPS, and she flys out for basic in Great Lakes on Tuesday! Wow, how time flys. Cant believe I met you in February and it seemed like Aug was so far away!

- I checked our ATT cell bill. Its gonna be hight! I think I will call and beg them to reduce the bill. I havent heard from Stu this week, yet. We went to Texoma last weekend....it was different without him. I will ask stu if he has meet your Duran. Thanks for sending me your last name!!!!

- Hi kim! Stuart's been in Guam for about 3 weeks! He's a machinest (my spelling doesnt look rite..)mate. He came home the first of may until the 18th. It was great to see him and spend time together. Needless to say i miss him! We've been able to talk a couple of times. He likes guam. He has sent a few pictures and it is very pretty! How do you talk with your son? The cell phone is expensive and I was wondering if there is a cheaper way ? Thanks for the support!!!
