Hello everyone and boy am I glad I found this group. My son will be deploying in approximately 3-4 weeks and what a wreck I am. Does anyone know if when they leave the US if they fly from another airport that were they are stationed? God bless all…

Hi Kim,
yes, my son is a navy corpsman w/the fleet marine force in Iraq.
He left the night of Jan. 16th,09' I talk to him about everyday on the cp.
You will hear from yours also, They make sure the kids communicate one way or the other.
We will keep you and your family in our prayers, tell your son we said thank you and we are thinking of him.
God Bless,
Debbie

Hi Kim,
I saw your note on the deployment group. How are you doing? You know what, it does not matter how many deployments our sons have been on each one pulls on the heart. We worry, search every day for an e-mail or the navy news for anything related to their ship or unit. It is certainly filled with ups and downs and lots of prayer. Let me know if I can do anything for you.

Hugs,
Denise (Neese)

Kim,
I weanted to leave this message on your site rather than the praying moms site as it could be more private. I have been praying for your son and I asked people at prayer meeting to pray for him. I only breify mentioned him and only his first name.
Unfortunately sometimes we have to hit bottom before we can go back up. Is he at a point where he is looking for help and if so, is there a Navy chaplain that he can talk to and mqaybe they can put him in touch with some good Christian counseling? Does he enjoy being in the military?
I won't go on but if I can be of any help or pray more specifically then feel free to email me at cathywiggin@yahoo.com. My heart goes out to not only your son but to you and your family as well.
My name is Cathy and I live in NY and I don't mean to but in and if you don't email me then I will understand but I will continue to pray.
Love Cathy

Kim, how is your son?? I think about all those military men and there families, and I just want to make sure you are ok. How long does he have tell he comes home (back to the states) . Is your other son still in the Marines??? Do you get to hear from you son often??? Skylar is graduating for A school soon. he told me he got into C school but has no orders, I told him not to count on anything until it is in writing. I had him home for Christmas and I just couldn't stop looking at him . I don't know why, I think I just want time, right then and there, just to last forever. God bless your son and you .

Hi Kim, my Ben was in class 271. He just finished Gunner's Mate school in November, then was immediately sent to Gulf Port for Expeditionary Warfare skills training. He finishes there tomorrow and is then off to Little Creek as a Riverine. He's hoping to go back and try Buds again too, but has been told that being a Riverine, they may make him wait to the end of his enlistment to be able to go back. He'd be 27 then and he has some concern that he "might be too old to cut it". So what does your son do, and where is he stationed?
