About me:
When I look around at where I am in life it just amazes me. I am blessed with a wonderful, talented husband and the greatest children around. Of course, I know there are so many other Mothers that feel the same way. So many times we can live in our own little world and be so fulfilled with our lives. Then something "changes" our world, such as our oldest leaving home to enter the Navy, and that world opens up into a much bigger picture. I feel so blessed that our son choose the career path he has and to see so many other family's sharing in this same adventure is quite humbling to me. Seth will make us so proud and yet the group of people he will be involved with will do the same thing. Our beautiful, great country that encompasses such a huge melting pot is awesome. I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful group of people and wish the best to each and everyone.
I just don't share much about me sometimes. I am 41 and have 4 beautiful children and 2 beautiful step-children. Bobby and I have been married 16 years and have a small farm, including 1 cow,1 pig, several chickens, 2 guineas, 2 rabbits, 2 dogs, and 7 cats. We love the country life. We are currently building a house for my Mom & Dad which we hope to be done with by the end of the year. The picture I posted is of Seth and my Mom, his "Naynee".
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I am not the only one feeling the pain of my son leaving home! Great things are to come.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

HI Kisha,
Sounds like you are going to have a full house for Thanksgiving, that sounds great. We will be going over to one of my Aunts house for Thanksgiving so we wont be alone either. Good news! Chris is off hold and in his A school. So that is good and thank goodness, God willing he will be coming home for Christmas soon. I have not seen him since 4th of July and that makes me very sad.
Sounds like Seth is doing okay and even saving some money, I know what you mean Chris spends all his money evert month! It will be great for you to get out there to visit him when you all can.
Today is Saturday and a kinda busy one for us, so I better go but I am so happy that we can keep in touch this way! :) Talk to you soon! Happy Thanksgiving if I don't talk to you before then. But I most likely will!

Hi Kisha,
It was awesome to open up my page and see that you had left a message! I have been praying for you guys and hoping that things were going okay. I am glad to hear that Seth is doing well and is on his first deployment....is that is first depolyment? Anyway, WA hugh? Very fun and will make for a great family vacation for you when you get to go. You sound so busy with your parents house and homeschooling I am glad tht you were able to get a little time in on the computer to check in. Chris is doing well, he is on hold still for A school. He did finish on part but has the biggest part to go and looks like he won't even be starting until after the Christmas holiday. So that is somewhat frustrating for him, he was hoping to have been done and gone by now and on to C school. No luck, we have a while to go. School is in full swing and my daughter has not gotten used to her sophmore year yet and is having a bit of a hard time adjusting back to the homework. Kinda frustrating and I just will stay on top of it as much as possible and keep my eyes open. Anyway, with November coming so quickly, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? I will most likely be cooking at home not sure how many for yet. Talk to you soon, keep in touch I love hearing from you...God Bless!

HI Kisha!
It is wonderful to hear from you! I am so gald that things are going well for Seth. He and your family have been in my prayers for al long time! Anyway, Chris is offically in school and he says that it is hard. I believe he has a way to go though. He will be coming home for a small visit for a few days in July but other that that it will be intil next year before he graduates. I hope he gets through school. What did Seth go to school for? Were you able to go to his graduation? I heard the graduation from school is not as exciting as the boot camp one. How is your mom? I think about you often and I am glad to hear that things are going well for you. I am so glad that he will come home for a long visit. Have a great day!

Kisha,
I blogged about the graduation, check it out if you have a chance! Anyway, I was thinking about you and Seth and wondering how he is doing. I know there was some kind of something going on and I am praying that it got all settled. Chris told me yesterday that he will be on ho;d for A school for about 4 weeks. He was fine with that and I didn't ask him but I guess that means that his graduation will be later too I guess. I don't know. Seth finally started school right? How is he doing now? Just thinking alot about you....

Kisha,
I know that the Lord has a protection around Seth and he will take care of him. I just know this. I have been praying for him and I am glad to here he is hanging in there and putting his faith in our wonderful Lord Jesus. I am so sad to hear that there are not alot of committed believers there. Chris will be headed there soon and I would like for him to be safe and amoung believers. I will praying for this too. I hope that he is able to report good news to you soon. Today is Good Friday and soon it will be Easter Sunday. I hope that your whole family has a blessed weekend. I am missing Chris alot during this first holiday away. There is something quite strange about the distance between a mother and child during the Easter season. But I suppose this is all part of God's plan too so it will be okay. Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter!

Also I will be keeping your mom in my prayers also. I have had kidney problems in the past and I know how sick you can feel when things are not running well with kidney function. She is in my prayers! :)
