Hi Gloria, I tried looking for it I can not seem to find it. Could you inform me where to find the PIR 6/26 info. I looked under events and did not see it. I may have just over looked it. Thank you for your help. Kristina

Kristina - There is a group of recruit families with your PIR. I do not know if you have visited it PIR 6/26 and can hear what is going on with your son's div.

I just spoke with my son and he graduates June 26, 09. This is great I get to see him sooner than we thought. He sounds okay, I know he is missing us as much as we miss him. I can not wait to give him big hugs.

My son leaves in 6 days

It is getting close to my son Michael to leave for boot camp. I am so proud but scared. I don't like it when my kids are not where I can get to them or even talk to them. My husband and I lost our youngest son almost 11yrs ago, so for my oldest to be leaving is hard.
How did you all deal when your child left?

Hi Kristina - My son (Kyle) will leave in 13 days for bootcamp. I'm excited for him but yet sad to see him go. He is 22 years old and very excited about joining the Navy. Keep me posted on how all of this works. I am looking forward to seeing him graduate from BC. I already know that he will be a grad and go but I will be happy to see him if only for a short time before he hits A school. If you have any good tips for getting through this I'd be glad to hear them. And tips on hotel info for out at Great Lakes.

Wow, it really is a small world! Welcome to Navy For Moms! I haven't been too active on the site lately because I am currently working 7 days a week with long hours, but Lance is now stationed in New York and calls me every few days since we sent him a cell phone (it was well worth the expense). You can catch me at the Jolly Giant Flea Mart on Saturdays & Sundays 8-3. We will have to get together sometime & have coffee or something... When it slows down for us. Good luck to your sailor! We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.
