- Today is Battlestation-21! In just a little over 48 hours we will get to see our sailors!!!!!!!!! Travel safely tomorrow and hope to see you at the meet & greet.

- Got another letter. Said they were supposed to get phone calls on the 8th but didn't, now it will be the 17th. Tomorrow is their final inspection and the gas chamber. Saturday is Cap't Cup, Monday final PFA, Tuesday their 3rd test, and Wednsday Battlestations. They have to pass it all now and PIR Firday!!! Look forward to meeting everyone next week.

Pat said… - If she doesn't have the rate issue resolved prior to taking that final oath on the day she ships to boot camp, she won't be able to change her rate for 2 years. If she is over 18 the recruiter legally doesn't have to speak with you so this is something she may have to resolve on her own. Why don't you check out the group, SEABEE Mom's, there are a lot of mom's w/ daughter's in he group. There's also a Seabee, named Wes, that is in the group & maybe you could ask him more about the rate.

- If your daughter is not satisfied w/ her rate selection, she can request a new rate depending on her ASVAB scores. She needs to contact her recruiter asap. Come join our group, Navy Mom's of Daughter's.

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my son Tim (19) has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What will your son/daughter be doing with the Navy?
