About me:
I'm a stay at home mom with 3 boys. Our oldest left for boot camp Aug 4. I've been married for 19 years and have lived in 7 different places due to my husbands job in sales.
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
stay connected with other moms (parents) and support my son and his fellow soldiers
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Kristine, thanks so much for writing, I don’t know exactly the name of the village where he is at, I know is a very remote place about 12 hours away from civilization, we look at it in the internet and is just a dessert with a few rocky mountains, there is not electricity or even a base yet, we got some papers from the Navy explaining that we will not be able to communicate with him as much, He is not allowed to carry or use a cell phone, He called me from every country he crossed before he actually got to Afghanistan, He called me yesterday from Kernishtan and told me that was his last call for a while…I can’t take him of my mind and only prayers sustain me and the Light of God.

He was assigned to a very small group of marines, he will be with 15 marines throughout his entire stay in Afghanistan this is a kind of Special Forces marines. Supplies to them will be taken by Helicopter they have a Lou tenant and a captain, and my son is their only Corpsman, he will be visited by a senior Corpsman regularly.

It is not easy for us………….I still cry…………this is the first Christmas season without him……………………………….

I will talk to you later

God Bless you

Hello, Kristine, it is my pleasure to have you as a friend. Just out of curiosity, how did you get my name?

Thinking about you and the other moms in the 2/2, don't forget you always have someone to talk to, scream at...or just listen. Everyday in my prayers.

Thanks...I am a little confused. My son is an ET and I thought they hardly ever got shore duty, but his "pick 2 of the following 4 locations" included 3 that I am pretty sure are exclusively shore duty; Italy, Baharain and Diego Garcia. The fourth is Japan
