My son is not the only one being "passed over" it's a lot of kids. I'm just one of the moms that is voicing my frustration. There are many more moms that have just given up responding because it's such a joke.

I'm excited for your guys but it's pretty hard to swallow when my son and a lot of other guys have been waiting since the end of Aug.!!!!!! It is pretty hard to keep a positive outlook toward the Navy and its obvious lack of organization. If Pensaco…

Any good news for David yet? Do you have a trip scheduled to go see him? Jared is still on hold............. But is now doing volunteer trash empty and shining brass so he doesn't have to muster all the time. He did say he has been working out everyday, so I think that is helping his attitude, last Friday he went to work on a Habitat for Humanity house. He is still frustrated, but is handling much better. I try to ask if he's heard of anything and he just says he doesn't want to talk about it. We are planning to go see him the end of March.

Hi Kristy, Jared is still waiting. He Graduated Aircrew 11/24 so has been waiting ever since. He did get to come home for Christmas and had a hard time going back. My husband is there spending the weekend with him now. He did some online classes, something that I think is requires before ATT school. He has started to go to church on Sunday evenings, the pastor there gave Jared the Purpose Driven Life book. The church also sponsors pot lucks and different activities. Jared goes up and down, I wish they would just keep them busy - even required volunteer work in the community would be better than sitting around for months and months doing nothing. you can email me - christy@billsharp.com - We can exchange last names, maybe our sons can hook up. The saddest part is when Jared wants to go do something and he can't seem to find anyone else that want to go. Breaks my heart..... I guess over 21 guys go to the bars, but I don't know what everyone else does on their liberty time? Jared is a VERY likeable guy, always had tons of friends and a great athlete, I'm puzzled why it seems so hard to make friends. Well, I do hope you email. I would like to know your son, so I can give his name to Jared, I think the Aircrew guys seem to kind of hang together.... Take care, Blessings Christy

Hi Kristy,

You're son is one steip ahead of mine - Aircrew/FE - Jared is waiting to get classed up for ATT school in Pensacola and then AE after that (I think). He was on top of the world after graduating Aircrew, and now is just waiting and cleaning until his classes start. He is only 19, so is limited on acitivies, no car and still Phase I. They lost his paper work to get Phase II, so he will have to do that all again, and they also lost his leave chit TWICE, for Christmas break. I think going from the strict Aircrew program to this atmosphere is hard on him. Any Advice? How long did David wait to class up? Jared grad aircrew 11/25, He said he wishes that he could just go train with the aircrew to stay in shape until he classes up. I don't know what to do, or tell him to make it any easier for him - my heart just breaks for him. Any words of wisdom would be great. Where is your son now? and also, do they go to ATT school and then AE school? and then Jacksonville for FE training? Hope all is well, Blessings - Christy

According to him, acoustics section of school is the biggest part of the training for him. He is not allowed to talk about it at all because it's all classified. "A" school should finish in March. Then it's off to SERE school in Maine. Then back down to Jacksonville to earn his wings.

Hi Kristy, My son is doing "hell week" and will have his big swim this Friday... Jared said your son must be in the class ahead of him. He didn't recognize him, but said he probably looks different with no hair. If you IM or email me his last name, maybe they will recognize each other. Hope all is well, Question, After this aircrew training, I believe they go to AE school, right? Do you have any idea of the Christmas schedule? I WANT TO BUY AIRFARE!!!! it's already over $500.00 for his ticket!!! OUCH! Jared said if he was staying on hold, the break started on 12/19, but he's not sure if he is in AE school if they get the same break or not. Have any info on that?

Hey! Sorry I haven't written in a while. Stephen is doing very well. He has just finished his 4th week of A school. His rate is AW. He is going into acoustics. (sonar). He just finished up an oceanography course and scored a 90 on the test! We were so excited for him! How is David doing?

Good morning, after much investigation - I believe your son was in aircrew training in Pensacola.... I am looking for a mom that has been through this experience... My son arrived Pensacola on 10/5 and is "waiting" to get classed up in aircrew school. He was rated I believe as AW but this week changed to something I think is called FE....... Scary part - after he changed his rate - he was classed up the very next day! He was supposed to be on hold for 16 weeks. He was sooooo excited but I am nervous. What do you think about that change? I wish he would just do a desk job!! Would love to know where your son is, I think he is one step ahead of my Jared, PIR 10/3

Hi Kristy,
Glad to hear from you. How is David doing? PIR was great as you already know. WOW! I loved getting to spend time with Brady. He was so tired and still sick when we were there but so nice to be with him.
He is currently in Groton, CT in Submarine School and then from there he will go to his A school. He'll be staying in CT for about a year. He loves it so far and is still really glad he joined.
Where is Brian?
