Hey girls, just got home from Pensacola visiting Jake! It was so awesome! Erin and I figured out that our sailors live like 5 doors away frm each other in Pensacola!
Erin- thats great, its smooth sailing from here on out!
Marianne- You can take him his phone but he is not allowed to have it on base. We had to take Jake his phone and lap top at the airport
Marci- He should be getting your letters soon! Lol Jake got them about 3 weeks in but I only live 6 hours from Chicago. When Jake finally got mail he had 25 letters to open (not all from me) lol he will get them soon!

- About me:
- I am a 20 year old navy girlfriend. I am about to finish my sophomore year of college at the University of Central Missouri. My boyfriend (Jake) left for bootcamp feb 11 09. He just graduated on April 10, 2009! It was absolutely the most amazing weekend of my life! I cant explain the emotions that are flowing during the ceremony, and then you finally get to see them and its amazing! It was a rough 8 weeks while he was in BC but it is so worth it in the end. He is in Pensacola now enjoying the warm weather! I cant wait to see him again! I am so proud of him and love him with my whole heart!

- hey sorry it took such a long time to write back i haven't been on this website in a looong time! probably since my boyfriend graduated bootcamp. he graduated in october was in great lakes until about a month ago. he just got done with all his schooling there and he left for california not even a week ago! he is now stationed at camp pendleton. what about you tell me about your situation

- Yeah, my school has just over 10,000 students. So I guess that's kind of average.
That's exciting that Jake came up with yalls wedding plans while he was in bootcamp. I hope that's what Jarrett is doing right now, too. Lol. We talked about it a lot before he left. But it's cool to know they are thinking about it even when they are away.
And I totally hear you on the 4 months or 4 years thing. It definitely makes no difference.

- Aww you're major sounds so cool! I thought about elementary education for a while. I love kids and families and stuff like that. I don't know why I decided against that. Is your school big?
Hopefully I will be able to move to Connecticut right after I graduate. But really, I won't move up there unless we are married. I'm just like that. It would make me feel bad. I wish I could move up there right when he goes...unfortunately that can't happen.
But that's still a while away. I mean we aren't engaged yet or anything. I'm sure we will be eventually tho. I mean heck, we have only been together for 5 months. Lol. People think I'm crazy when I even mention "engaged" or "married". But it's different. They don't understand lol.
What about you? I mean, I'm assuming you aren't going to move to FL. But will you move with Jake when he gets stationed? Or graduate first? Or what?
I bet a lot of people get married and move right away. Like as soon as possible. I think we all wish we could do that lol. I keep having to tell myself to look at the big picture....and make myself realize that I really should finish school first.

- I totally hear you on being busy with school. I'm the exact same way right now. I'm so stressed. Plus I'm randomly scheduled a lot of hours at work this week. So that's not helping.
I go to school at Tennessee Tech. I'm a human resource major. I'm about to finish my second year as well. But I always wanted to graduate college in 3 years (I don't know why...I think simply to prove that I could lol). So Even though it seems like I should be finishing my sophomore year, next year I will be a senior. I'm pretty excited. It worked out well with Jarrett being gone and everything.
Where do you go to school? and what's your major? Have I already asked you this? Geez I've met so many girls in the past week, and I can't keep up with what I've asked who. It's confusing me lol. There was something else I thought about today that I needed to ask you...about after bootcamp. But of course now I can't remember it for the life of me. Oh well, I'm sure I'll think of it sooner or later.

- O wow I didn't realize you already went to graduation and everything. That's awesome. Jarrett is grad-n-go so we won't be able to spend much time with him. That's gonna be difficult. Ok so let me ask you...I was planning on wearing a dress but i'm not sure. Do most people wear jeans? Or dresses? Or what? lol. This shouldn't be such a difficult choice, but it is for some reason. lol.
My boyfriend is going to Connecticut, so it might be different that yall. But I'm planning on going to CT to visit him this summer...do you know how much time he will be able to spend with us. Like can we see him just on the weekends? Or every night? Do you know? I'm really excited I'll be able to talk to him all the time after BC, but I'm still really upset that I won't be able to see him much. Ya know? Ugh it's gonna kill me!!!! Jarrett is supposed to be in CT for up to a year and a half. Oh well...like you said, it could be much worse.
Thats is so cool that you met girls you can travel with. Hopefully I will be able to find some people that have boyfriends going to CT.
