Hi Laurie S
I'm also a Laurie S.
Welcome..............
Just wanted to say how my son was also questioning his decision the first few weeks and was so homesick, sounds like he still is.
He's doing good though and sounds very proud.
We're also staying at the Lodge, arriving on the 12th...
Can't wait ..

Hi Laurie:
Mary sent me your way and I'd like to welcome you to NavyForMoms! I know 3 of the recruiters in Sierra Vista. Was your son recruited from there? Hope you get a chance to come and join us for our get together. Did you attend the DEP/Parent Get Together at DM in November? I was the Mom talking about NavyForMoms if you were there. Glad you're here! If you need any info about PIR, just ask.

Hi Laurie, wanted to stop by and welcome you to AECF. I see you have alot of military background yourself! I was a Navy wife to an FC for 10 years and now we have a sailor son - who actually is on his way to C school tonight for the FC program. See your PIR is in February, have they told your son yet if he is an ET or FC. We are an FC house but we have great support in the group for both ETs and FCs - do not hestiate to ask questions!

PS - Do you know my Arizona Friends...Melissa and Joyce, they are awesome!

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings.
