Dear Laurlyn,
A belated congratulations on Scott's grraduation. That's great, he's a translator. What language does he know? There's a moms I know, her son learned Chinese, now he's going for Russian. I wish Scott all the best in school. That'a great he's home for this weekend. Enjoy his visit.

My daughter Kim was hoping to be home for Christmas, but plans changed. I'm going to her on Dec 28. I'm going to be a first time grandma! I can't wait!! The due date is Jan 2. We're expecting a boy. Kim sent me the 3D ultrasound images and put them on my pictures. I love looking at that little guy of mine! AHHA!

It was time consuming , finding all those graphics, let me tell you! HAHA! I moved in on my page, I figured why don't decorate it. Now, I changed the colors to Christmas colors, the graphics I did need help on. I can center , but I needed help getting some of them side to side. Now I'm adding for my first grandbaby, the due date countdown. I'm so excited.

I don't want to see turkey for another year! HAHA! We have so much left overs. I'm a bone lover, and enjoyed polishing off that neck! HAHA!

Let me get going. Stay well.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

Dear Laurlyn,
How are you? You survived Boot Camp! HAHA! Congratualtions on your son's graduation.!

I'd love to stay friends with you, of course. I'm here every day! HAHA! I'm part of the fixtures now! HAHA!
I'm guessing your son finished A School. Where is he stationed?
My daughter Kim is still in Virginia. She's with the USS Nomandy.

I hope to hear from you again. Happy Thanksgiving.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

I responded to your post but forgot to mention I am an hour and a half from Monterey. If your boy is just missing home, he is always welcome here. We lived in Monterey for 25 years and are down there regularly, if he needs a great big mom hug or shoulder to cry on. He can piggyback with us and come for the holidays if he would like. We live closer to San Francisco now. The school he is in is very demanding and requires much study. You must be so proud of him. Let me know if I can help.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
