I understand. I think the same thing sometimes. My neice goes to school in Conway. She's in elementary school at Julia Lee Moore.

k - my husband just filled me in on your lingo. Very cool! I'll keep you close by, as currently our son is going in as MA, but is seriously considering trying to get into the SEALs program. If he were to, and make it of course, I'll definately need you guys.

Hi Leigh! I'm glad you found this site. It's very cool Nice to know everyon's heare for you!

My in-laws lived just outside of Mayflower. They now live in Conway, so we're down there a lot.

I don't know what BUD/s is. I'm fairly new too though. My son leaves in June for bc.

Hi Leigh, Welcome to our group...=)
You'll see that I deleted your comment, please don't be offended, I'd actually really like it if you could repost an intro, just sans any "keywords" that might make the group Googleable.
Groups for classes in the past have been monitored by SD, and we created this "mystery" group in the hopes that we might be able to stay under the radar! =)
Thanks, and again,
Welcome!
(ps. Soccermom is creating a personal e-mail group so that we may share free-flowing info without being "watched"... she'd love if you'd message her and give her your addy!)

Leigh,
There has been some good info for you, but I want to recommend that you do not read Lone Survivor, at least not now. An excellent book that was just released is SEALs, by Mir Bahmanyar or any book by Dick Couch. This new SEAL book is fairly up to date. My son graduated BUD/s in August, so I am right there with you. I would also not ask him for roommates phone #'s. His roomies & swim buddies could change daily. If your son is not available, then his roomies will not be either. We always waited for our son to call, or we called him on the weekends. They are very busy in BUD/s & they don't need to be thinking about things at home. Our son has been very sharing about his life in coronado, & hopefully yours will be also. This is a very exciting journey & while as a mom, I am constantly in prayer for him, I am thrilled to be a part of this! There is no longer a parent participation in buds grad, but they usually get some time off & maybe can come home. If you read the new SEAL/s book, the activities that they have in Phase 1, 2 & 3 are pretty accurate, but they have recently changed the order of the activities. Anyway, if you would like to talk more, you can email me at mad74@bellsouth.net. We have to be very cognizant of what we share on this site, so I prefer to use personal email.
Hope all goes well for your son
Diane

Hi, Leigh, and welcome to our SEAL Moms group. I started to answer your question, but decided to just post it to the group instead, so you can check it out. My son is in 273 with Pat P's (below). She has been my angel since our boys were in boot camp together. I hope you will connect with some other moms in your son's class, too.
