I am also glad for those going to homecoming. I also wish I could be there. I hope to see lots of pictures posted. My son is coming home for 2 weeks after the Tiger cruise and will be meeting his 5 month old son for the first time. I am so excited…

About me:
I am currently married to a retired Air Force officer. Between the two of us, we have three sons and one daughter. My oldest is in the Navy (he joined 2 years ago). He is currently deployed and could not be there for the birth of his son, my first grandchild. I can't wait for him to get back and see his son for the first time.
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
...to be able to let go a little. It was hard for me to realize that my son is not the little boy who needs his mom for everything anymore. I am very proud of the man he has become. I have the Navy to thank for that.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi and Welcome to N4M. We are proud to have you aboard. Please look on the Events For Blue Candle Lighting. We are lighting blue candles on Christmas day to remember our sons, daughters and spouses who will not be home for the holidays. Some of our children will be home but we wanted to make sure we remember the ones on duty and their families. Please RSVP as if your are attending because it counts. All you have to do is light a blue candle in your home on Christmas day and you will have participated. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Licia, yes it is nice to share with folks who understand you. Thank you for your kind words of my kids and I'm glad to see that you found love & marriage after being a single mom. Hopefully God will bless me too!!

And you grew up around here, well do you remember Lou's Deli? My daughter PJ has been away for over 5 years and its one place where she has to go to get a corned beef when she's home!! I've been to STL and it was nice especially the arch. Take care.

Welcome Licia: I am also from IL. Pretty close to you, I live in Keyesport, and my son is in boot camp right now. PIR 1/15/09. Keyesport is right on the Carlyle Lake. Tom has about 1 month to go. I am also a grandma for the first time. He is 15 month old. He is the son of my daughter though.
