Profile Information

About me:
I was active duty reserve (TAR) in the Navy from 9/2/86-9/1/91. I was a personnelman at Naval Reserve Station Miramar and also at PERSUPPDET NAS Weymouth in MA. I come from a long line of Navy and other branches of military service. My father was in the Navy during Korea. It was my great pleasure to service our great country. And, it's to be back home in the Navy fold.
I am here to support or represent my:
Craig
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
It was great to see Craig carry on the family tradition of serving his country. His father was a Combat Engineer in the Marine Corps and we could not be prouder of him. I know that he will grow and become one of the best Yeoman the Navy has yet to see. (My opinion of course).
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

He Left for his first Duty Station today

We just got back from the airport Craig left today for his first real duty station. I can tell he was excited to go but sad that he had to leave us again. The house seems so empty without him home. No lound Metallica music or Guitar Hero blarring thru the house. And the cell phone going off all time when he gets a text message. We are so pround of him and we hope to go visit him later this year. Hope everyone had a great holiday season and may spring come soon. Linda D-IA

Back atcha, girlfriend! Things are crazy here as usual. Doug's still not working so I am trying to sub all the days I can get. Adam finished A school and is apparently in Portland on the way to Whidbey Island. He goes there next Saturday. Is doing some recruiter stuff, I guess. He doesn't communicate with us much which is a real disappointment. Says he is taking his leave in the fall to go elk hunting, so I guess I won't see him at all this year.

Have been thinking of you guys in the cold. Is cool for us right now, but will be warming up in a couple of days. Could use some rain, though. was 80 something yesterday and didn't get to 40 today.

Stay warm! Hugs to you and Mark!

Having a hard time adjusting to leaving him AGAIN!. Derek is still in Great Lakes at A-School. But it doesn't start until Nov.12th. He is on hold. I actually saw you in the Mall. Derek pointed your son out and then you disappeared. I was exhausted after our trip into Chicago. Our flight was delayed, and the rent-a-car place made us wait, then we had to drive from Chicago..so we just collapsed when we finally got to the hotel. That's why I wasn't at the meet and greet. Anyway, I sent Derek's cell phone to him today so he can start calling me. He called last night and I was in a meeting and I missed his call, but he did call his g/f and was able to talk to her. She said he was moved over to A-School on hold and was nervous, because he was so used to being yelled at everyday and didn't know how to act.
