Hi Trina and welcome! My son Brian is a MM on The George H.W. Bush in Norfolk (actually the ship is in Newport News right now) and he is doing well. This is a very proud place to be!

- I'm a mother of 4. Ryan (22), Jeremy (19), Taylor (13), and Andrew (8). I've been married to Steven Hurford for over 22 yrs. I'm excited for my son yet a little nervous for him. I grew up an army brat so I know alittle bit about what comes with being a military family.

sorry that we didnt come to the reunion but I won two trophies and stayed for the parade of champions that they have before the tractor pulls. And to top that off Wesley came home for my birthday and spent the day at the truck show with us so it was realy cool He even won a trophie his self.

LOVE the pix you have posted!!!!!...Patrick just got his orders, he's going to Norfolk until March 2010 and then off the San Diego where he will spend the rest of his time! Great place to go but sure far from ALABAMA! He's been in Pensacola since last June, so it's been nice, he comes home almost every week-end. here's here now, saw him briefly this afternoon and he's going to see my mom tomorrow morning...So, tell me about Ryan!...(BTW< Katie isn't attending school in Auburn, she and her husband live there but he lost his job so they are moving back to the 'Ham in 2 weeks!)

Carole said… - Hi Linda, Well I booked his flight today and it was really cheap! He will fly out of DCA tomorrow at 6AM. He told me that Ryan is flying out on Friday and Beth is flying home today. Guess everyone is finally getting time off!
The weather is drying up a bit. It rained and was rather dark all day yesterday, but today is better. Not full sunshine, but should be a nice day and we are supposed to have great weather for at least the next week - in the 70's and up.
Hope you have great weather too! I already KNOW you'll be happy.

- Hi Linda. I was just talking to Jan about an hour ago. I told him - Itz LATE! GO TO BED. LOL! Anyway, he told me he now knows he is getting leave starting on Thursday. Hooray.
He has four funerals to do tomorrow. Thatz a lot, at least I think so. He sent me what he wants his flight itinerary to be so I can call the travel agent to use my credit card points. If this works out, his tickets will cost less then the credit I can use and so it will be free! He will have to fly out of Ronald Regan Airport to get that rate of ...295 I think it was. I have my fingers crossed. I'll be booking it all tomorrow. They will send him an email to print out for the airport. He said he would be here at home with me for a week after he takes the bus down from Santa Cruise.
We will both soon have our Sailors home and you'll have a very full house!
