I haven't logged into N4M in a long time. We've been pretty busy. My hubby is in the DEP program and scheduled to leave in January. However, we just found out a couple weeks ago that I'm pregnant and now we're not sure if he'll be able to go in. E...

I beleive they go to boot camp just like everyone else and then they go to Coronado in CA. I'm really not entirely sure though! I don't think it's really sunk in that he's leaving. I dunno, sometimes it does. We are adopting our 2 boys and he's no...

Lindsay,
I'm an LDS Navy Mom and I also live in AZ. My name is Angela and we're in the west valley. We used to live in the east (Gilbert) but moved here 2 years ago. I haven't found anyone else in AZ so I'm excited to see you here! My son is in A school right now but will be home in 2 weeks. We have meet and greet socials every once in awhile. Are you a member of the AZ mom's group? Check that one out for activities around the valley. Glad you're "on board!" Good luck and hope to meet you sometime!

You do look familiar, but I can't place from where either. Good luck and congratulations on the adopting of the two boys. How exciting! Your husbands goals in the Navy sound very exciting as well. I can't imagine how you're preparing for that new life, but it must be exciting. It is always nice to have friends close by. Not sure how to exchange personal information. Do you?

Hi there! Just spoke to my husband and he mentioned something to me I didn't know about. There is an Exceptional Family Member Program that is there to help people with special needs children. I have no idea about it, nor did my hubby, but I thought it was well worth mentioning to you. You can probably find out more about it through the Fleet & Family Support Center.

We have 3 an 8yo,a 2 1/2yo,and a 9mo.When my husband left for BC it was really hard cause my youngest was not even 3mo yet and had colic. The whole BC experience was a nightmare for me.I don't want to scare you but I also don't wanna sugarcoat it.I really have no idea looking back on it how we got through. Now that he is in school things are better. Some days are worse than others, mostly now I am just really aggravated with some of the Navy rules. This whole hold thing might possibly keep my husband and I from living together for a year and a half or more and I'm pretty stuck atm.On another note I think it is great that you are adopting AND fostering you and your husband seem to have really big hearts I'm sure you will get through this just fine.By the way what rate is your hubby going into?

Hi there, Just left you a message in the Navy Wives group. If you go to my page, you can read about us & how I'm feeling about the Navy. I hate change & my hubby going back in, well, let's just say, I was not thrilled. Proud of him, but not thrilled. It's great that you have a better attitude than me, but I'm just so routine & like to plan & when in the Navy, there is no way to do that! :) Keep in touch!

I just thought I would stop by to say hello and welcome.I was reading your info up top and wanted to say that it is awesome that you are looking forward to change.I personally am terrified of it lol it is all very different for me and I like to have solid answers about when things are gonna happen so I am struggling along in our new experience. It seems like you have a really positive attitude and I think that will be immensely helpful to you.Let me know if there is anything you need (even if you just need to vent lol).

About me:
Hi! My name is Lindsay and my husband just recieved his new ship date. He was originally leaving next March but since he passed the PST for SEALS he now leaves next February. I'm excited and nervous and happy and sad and scared all at the same time!! We have been married for 5 years and we are in the process of adopting 2 beautiful little boys. We also have a foster daughter who is 16 months old, she's adorable but a handful!
I am here to support or represent my:
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Be patient and supportive. It took my husband quite a while to decide to join. I told him the I would support him no matter what his decision was. I also learned that I'm now part of a HUGE family that will help my family as much as it can. (according to my hubby's recruiter!)
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
