About me:
I am a MOM first and I love that about myself.
I am here to support or represent my:
Donardo AKA: Donnie
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was confused, Needed to learn more about it, Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
He can do anything he puts his mind to and hopefully the Navy and his mentor will allow him the time to actually finish school and not let it fall to the way side with how busy they keep him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience

Ashley and Dean just bought a used Chrysler Pacifica. They needed the room for the puppies – they have a Great Dane pup and a German Shepherd. This should keep that daughter of mine busy during deployment. She sounded happy and excited today. They are doing well given that Dean deploys shortly. I love the story of how another couple took Donnie under their wing. These Navy guys really stick together. Dean and Ashley are watching kids for other couples and Ashley is part of the FRG (Family Readiness Group) and everyone seems to pitch in. I love that. I'm excited that you get to see Donnie soon. Give him a hug from all of us Navy Moms and let him know we so appreciate him. What a guy!!!

Lisa, I'm checking on you and Donnie? How is he doing? I did the blue candle also. Did he make it home for Christmas? Dean and Ashley didn't make it home for the holidays, but I was just thankful to have him on our homeland. It's funny what us Navy Moms are grateful for, isn't it? Is Donnie meeting people and feeling connected? It can be so hard sometimes.

Lisa, welcome!! Would you email me so that I may send you a freedom wrap to forward on to your son? No charge and I would be honored to send him a gift.
I will be in Virginai but am carrying my candle with me!!! I also have three extra blue bulbs to make sure they don't burn out!
Will be praying for all our sailors to come safely home to their families.
hugs

Lisa, I have loved hearing about Donnie. I think that is what us Navy Moms do is stand in the gap. We support, encourage, give hope, and uplift those sailors who give us our freedom and for you and I, give us the ability to pray to a mighty God. Donnie will find a woman who will love him and he will be crazy about her. You just wait and see.. Ashley and Dean live in Washington. Dean is on the U.S.S. Stennis. They have the blessing of base life. They connect in with other couples, a lot of them already have kids. Dean and Ashley have two puppies. Tonight they went baby shopping for one of the other couples and I was amazed at what they bought this couple. The Navy couples are really supportive of one another. They are all in it together. It always amazes me.

Hey, just saw that you "were not attending" the Blue Candle lighting event - but then you SAID that you WERE lighting a blue candle. That means that YOU ARE ATTENDING!!!! We are not meeting anywhere - we are just having candles lit all across the entire world in honor of all our military not home for Christmas.
PLEASE go change your RSVP to attending - and then LIGHT that CANDLE!!!
Thanks,
Brenda Sue

Dear Lisa,
When did Donnie graduate in June?
Kim was June 6, 2008. WOW, Donnie already has seen other countries, good for him!!

My poor Kim is drydocked for a year on her ship. SO she's going crazy with boredom. She works do varies of jobs and stops at 1:30 PM, then what!!! UGH!!
When ever her ship goes out, her rate is to read the radar.

This is going to our first missed Christmas, you and I. UGH!! We have to adjust to Military life as well.

I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.

Lisa, I said a prayer this morning that God would send Donnie an angel. Ashley and Dean have had their time of loneliness, and I am amazed at how fast things can change, In a moment, something happens, a hand of friendship is offered, and Donnie has a buddy for life. These sailors go through so much together. So, today, I will be on my knees today for Donnie. I'm so grateful that we worship a powerful God who can reach ships like the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan and the Stennis. It does get easier. I promise. Hang on! Donnie is on an amazing adventure. And before you know it, he becomes even more amazing that he is right now. I'm so glad you messaged.

Dear Lisa,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
We keep each other's sanity!! HAHA!!

Don't feel bad, I still don't have an adress for my daughter's Kim's ship, and she's drydocked! I wish you the best finding out Donnie's adress.

My daughter Kim is on the USS Normandy in Virginia, that's all I know.
How long is Donnie with the Navy?

I'm still new, Kim graduated last June.

I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.

Does your son have an email address that I can pass along to Matthew for connection?..If Matthew and your son do connect, your son will love being in San Diego..Matthew will have him surfing in no time...or playing the gutiar...

Is that your daughter-in-law in the picture?
