Profile Information

About me:
I am a Navy Wife for almost 9 months now. I am a mom to 2 beautiful girls, born on the same day 8 years apart and just found out that we are expecting our 3rd child in December. Being a mom and a wife are both the most challenging and rewarding jobs I could ever ask for.
I am here to support or represent my:
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Remember all of the positive and be supportive. Dwelling on the bad stuff will only bring everyone down. Make this a positive aspect in your life.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Lisa, I got a letter today he is an ET! Does that mean I wont be able to move? He said his school is 33 weeks. I have been looking online at apartments. I like some but not too sure about the area and the schools. What is an area that has good schools? I have looked at so many areas and so many schools...lol. My son will not have to go to a special school. His opthamologist said to start him in kindergarten and see how he does, if the teacher sees he is struggling he will do an eye surgery to help. But he said that he doesnt need any special attention as far as school goes right now.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for contacting me :) I am doing good...I am soo ready for May 15th. I am super proud of my husband. I will be driving to PIR with my 2 children, MIL, and FIL. As far as moving, we were not going to do the move at first because my son is starting kindergarten this fall and he is legally blind so I am worried that he will have some delays and I was worried the move would only make things harder for him. But now my husband is saying that he wants us to go ahead and plan on moving up as soon as we can. So I have been looking at apartments online trying to get an idea.

I have a new wife that I need you ladies to help out. Tabitha's husband is in boot camp and PIRs on May 15th - he probably is an FC and she is moving to GL and has two young children.

Be sweet and reach out to her if you can please.

Sounds like you are doing wonderful Lisa Ann. When I hear back from our newest FC wife, I'll send her your way - they are moving from Hawaii to GL this week so I know they must be busy. He starts school on April 20th.

Tell Chris - chin up...it's good to be challenged, he will get thru it ;-)

So good to see your face! Glad that you are meeting friends and supporting one another. It is difficult when they move on but if they are FCs...you might just get to see them at another duty station. I have another wife that I may ask you to welcome to your circle. Her hubby is cross rating from Nuke to FC and they are moving to GL next week from Pearl Harbor. She is very pleasant and could be good source of info for you in general.

Nick seems to be doing well but school is very intense, we do not get to talk to him as much as GL. He also joined honor guard so that keeps him busy two or three times a week. The bonus is he does duty every 8 days instead of 4 and is getting alot of good atta boys in his file as a result. If Chris goes there...he should think about the program.
