Hello Lisa,
Navy For Moms didn’t exist until March 2008. N4Ms has been God send for so many of us, providing an incredible internet support system – a place to ask questions, express our concerns and share our joys. Since you live in Northern California, I just want to invite you to join the Northern California Navy Moms Group. We have had four get-togethers this month. We have one more event coming up in October - opportunity to meet other Navy moms.

Sept 5 - San Francisco (6 attended)
Sept 9 - Sacramento (14 attended)
Sept 13 - Nevada City (5 attended)
Sept 20 - San Jose (11 attended)
October 25 - Los Altos - upcoming

My son is currently out on deployment - on a sub.
Regards, Bea

Lisa, just read your comment about not making it to PIR 12/24! I understand. I am in the Portland area and only by the grace of God did I make it out on Monday evening to Chicago and then brought my son home on 12/24 in the evening back to Portland. It was a wonderful trip and so exciting to see the ceremony! I am totally blessed to have made it there and to have him home for the week and 1/2. He is also now in Pensacola. It is nice because he has his phone and is able to text, call and email. He is bored right now because they have not started classes. He would prefer to keep busy!

Hello & Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them (pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me.
So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you. :D
Sincerely, Catherine

Welcome aboard!!

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Just to try to be supportive and not let my fears show. I don't want Logan to worry about us at home. So we let him know how proud we are of him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience
