For Navy families that have a son or daughter serving the military as an FC or an ET on ships. For subs - look for the SECF group. Our chance to share and learn more about their jobs and schools.

Okay....it's not thaaat hard to go see him. I would get a rental car, b/c having to pay for a taxi to go everywhere is going to end up being more than renting a car for a couple days. Also you can go to whatever hotel, if you want to avoid the hassl…

Nope, our son had NO holds and this was just a year ago but what a difference a year can make but let me say if he is your boyfriend or husband the LONGER he can stay in school (or hold) the better! Without holds - A and C school take about 18 months to complete and then they go to the fleet and could be dealing with long deployments and limited communications so I say.............take your time in school, enjoy the holds, the pay is the same and it's that much longer before he has to report to a ship!!!

Hi lovemysailor! Wanted to stop by and welcome you to AECF group and congratulate you on a NEW sailor! Will he be an ET or FC after he graduates? Our son is an FC and is with his first ship...in Hawaii. My hubby was an FC for 10 years as well so if you have any questions please let us know. Nice photos!!
