Hi there will be a meet and greet for all the Navy moms, fiances, girlfriends, wives and family members to those recruits graduating on 11/21. I hope to see you all there. Ohh and don't forget to wear your RED SCARF on 11-21 for graduation...
I am also from PA the northeastern part of the state. My son is in Div 011 USS Kearsarge. He is going to be a corpsman (medic). I see on the site that some people have received phone calls but we haven't yet. I am almost afraid to leave home for fear he'll call and not be able to dial out again to get my cell phone. We have received two letters and I can't wait till the end of the week to receive a third.
Hello & Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them(pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me.
So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you. :D
Sincerely, Catherine
Hi Lucile,
We are from the Reading area. My daughter, Jenna, also has a PIR date of 11/21. She's in Div 010 Theodore Roosevelt, and I just got my first phone call from her 2 nights ago! She said she really likes it, hasn't gotten singled out to get yelled at yet, is learning a lot of interesting stuff. She'll be going to Pensacola for A school. She also said there was a chance they may come home for Thanksgiving and leave from home to go to Pensacola. Where will your son be going after GL? There is a group for all of those graduating on that date. Go to groups and lok for PIR 11/21/08. We had 2 groups going, but have just all merged into this one.
We were in tears sending them off, and now we're frantically making arrangements for graduation! It's so difficult with all the uncertainty as far as if they will come home or not, stay in GL for the whole weekend, or be grad and go and be out of there on Friday night. We're 12 hours away, so this is no easy task!
