Was anyone able to use this discount code? I have my flights booked and don't know if this would still apply. Is this for anyone to use or just navy personnel?

Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To hold on as tight as you can while you still have them within your grasp. But when the time comes to send them off, do it with pride and encouragement. Never stop being proud.

I'm glad Tom is settling in:o) Eric is so relieved to be through boot camp.... I hope he is ready to study!!! He will be going fleet marine if all goes as planned. What are Tom's plans after A school. Did I just say that???......."after A school"! Boy, time seems to fly...it was only yesterday we were worrying about them getting through boot camp.
Take care and have a wonderful weekend!!

Lynda, have you heard from Tom since he settled in at corpsman school? Eric also had PIR on 1/30 and is going to be a corpsman. We did hear from him today and got his new address at GL. They are staying in the dorms and will not be allowed to leave base while in phase one. At least they won't get in too much mischief:o)
Keep me posted!

Yes, we are going to Flanagan's. We're actually getting to GL late on the 28th. We wanted to get the lay of the land, go to the commissary & NEX for supplies/food stuffs etc. It's getting a bit exciting, the closer PIR gets.. I really hope the weather doesn't churn up that weekend. My husband is a meteorologist, I'll just put an order in for good weather! lol

Thinking that we would cook in and safe money,we will ther from thursday to monday.when i booked with southwest the deal was if you left on a thur and departed on a mon it was 100.00,so i went with that deal ,my son said he would have liberty that weekend so we throught we would stay and go home on monday, but thay could change with him ,I am not sure where he is going at bc He did't get clerence for the A school he when in for he said he had to choose a different job,and i have't hear what that is yet.I did sign up for the marriot rewards thinking that now that he is in the navy we will be traveling more, not that I travel now,I think we should plan a meeting place so some of us can meet thurday early evening,There is more moms with kids in the same div i speak toI have a thirteen year old that is going ,And sure if my Parents are going yet,I was hoping they would so we could just hang out in the room a vist, and not do to much after pir,I thought i would buy the stuff for nachos,my sons favorites. We'll be coming in from Omaha, NE. I'm bringing my daughter, her boyfriend's mother, sister and niece, so 5 of us..and the luggage! With 2 of them teenagers and the niece is only 5.. that could be lots of stuff!! I'll squeeze it all in my trusty Explorer.
The countdown was my daughter's idea.. she has one on her page & decided I needed 1 too. She's the tech-y in our family. Dan's mom called me today, she talked w/his recruiter, she asked me if I heard if 088 was changed to grad n go because of what he told her.. have you heard anything? This is the same guy that tried to tell her the PIR was 2/4!! He came back later and confirmed the 30th.

Dear Lynda,
Congratulations on Tom's pending gradualations!!! The cheer is HOO YAH !!!! I did the same mistake!! HAHA!! WHen my daughter Kim was home she corrected me!! HAHA!! The I saw other moms have it written!! HAHA!!

We stayed in the Ramanda Inn. My husband did price around , and he said the Ramanda was less. Plus, they serve free breakfast. Nothing fancy, but a decent meal.

The Ramanda also has a shuttle that goes to the gradution on Friday. There is also an indoor pool plus their soveignor shop is catered to Navy family and the t-shirts are much cheaper then on base.

The laptop should be fine. I haven't heard of anything against them. Once they graduate, there's more freedom. You'll be hearing for Tom alo more, once he graduates.

I hope you keep in touch. I enjoy sharing information as graduation closes in.
Yake care and God bless.
Barbara
