Profile Information

About me:
Just a mom who loves her children! I have three children, my first grandson, one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law. My middle child is in the Navy, and his new wife currently lives with us while he serves. Life is busy and enjoyable. I feel soooo lucky to be able to take the summer off; I'll look for work again this fall when my youngest son (16) goes back to school. I am a system administrator in information technology.

Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I learned to trust my son's judgment. He decided to serve his Country and made his decision to join the Navy. Making a commitment such as this proved to me he had reached a time when my son no longer needed my "opinions." Now I wait for him to ask me what I think...
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer

Yes. He probably is a Momma's Boy. I even have a ring tone for him that sings it, but, he's engaged too so there's another "woman" in his life these days and Mom just don't make the cut sometimes. I know that's how it's supposed to be but I am having a hard time with the empty nest thing. I know he will be great and eventually I will be too. I'm so very proud of him. He is in South Carolina now going to Nuke school and trying to adjust. He will be home for Christmas though so I can't wait. The first roll of film I took at the graduation I took of someone elses son. I didn't even recognize him. Isn't that terrible. I finally found him after someone said, " I don't think that's Chris". He laughed so much after I told him about it. Anyway - Talk to you later. HMP

Is the wife that lives with you the one with your grandson? I would love it! But I'm not rushing.... no pressure. My only is in A school, Ft. Worth is my home, but we are in the Angelina County area up by Lufkin. I was hoping C school would be closer than GL, but it may be Virginia or somewhere even farther!
