Sorry to hear that he['s been delayed so long! Jake will be there around October 2nd. That's when he's supposed to leave GL. Congrats on Josh's engagement! Our wedding plans are creeping along. Hard when you aren't really able to set a date. He classed up for AE & will start that school 11/3. He's supposed to leave Pensacola 01/14 for who knows where? He's going to try to go to "c" school in San Antonio right after "a" school. He'll be talking to the academic advisor once he gets to Pensacola to try to get that going. So glad to hear that you weathered the storm so well. I thought about you & kept y'all in my prayers. Keep me posted on how you're all doing. I love the picture of us three. I made me a copy to frame, but haven't gotten around to it yet!! Good hearing from you.....Lynne

Haven't talked to you in forever. Hoping that all is well & that Josh is doing well. How is Pensacola? Jake finishes ATT school in Gl either tomorrow or Friday. His name is on the board to receive his orders & he said he should know something the first of next week. As far as we know, he is still supposed to be going to Pensacola for AE school. Hoping you weathered Ike with minimal difficulties. Let me know how you are doing. You can email me @ rexismine@suddenlink.net. We made it through Ike with only about 5 hours without electricity & a bunch of limbs in the yard! LOL Look forward to hearing from you!

Yes, God does have a plan. We have to keep reminding ourselves of that.

I'll be glad when our Army son is home from Iraq. Until then I pray, pray, pray!

Hi Lynn,

When does Joshua begin his A-school?

Justin loves being a Seabee. He seems to growing up a great deal. He's got a serious girlfriend who just moved to Southern Calif. to be closer to him. She's a teacher. It sounds promising. Maybe they will get married and give me some more grandkids!!!

Our son in the Army -- in Iraq -- is going to be there for about a year more, I think. I wish that it wasn't so hot over there. I read on the news that it is 119 degress today there.

Lynn, thank you so much for the comment. I wish the boys could have stayed together for A school, since they already had that friendship built up. You never know, they could end up together on a carrier some place. Keep in touch so I know how you all are doing.

How does josh like the Navy? Is he a Seabee?

I have 4 kids and 4 grandkids. One son is a Seabee and the other is in the Army in Iraq. Our daughters are busy chasing around their kids.

Aren't grandchlildren the best!!

Nice pictures you got too. I wanted to tell you the picture of Josh with his Bible. Josiah has the same Bible I got it for him last Christmas. He was sad when he could not take it to BC but I just sent it to him in the mail. What were your sons orders? What job will he be doing?Josiah thought he was going to Pensicola but they will be staying in GL for 50 days and then I think they will be going to Pensicola. josiah thought he would be doing AT (Aviation Tech but I guess they have him doing AE which is Aviation Electrician which he was alittle disappointed. i guess the Navy decides what they need the most then puts the guys in that program. Who is going to Virginia Beach? Josiah was sad he has not seen Josh either he really liked Josh. He does see jake and I guess they are both in GL til October 1. could you send me the picture of the 3 of us. That is a great picture. Talk with you soon . Let me know how Josh is doing in Pensicola when he gets there.
