- Hi Millie: My daughters first assisgnment out of A school was also overseas and I too was very heartbroken, we made it! then when it was time for her next assignment I thought for sure it would be stateside ... wrong another overseas assignment, she is now stateside and has been for a year and she just reenlisted for another 5 years! So there will probably be another overseas in the next 5 years. Please believe me it will get better but hang for the roller coaster ride. Tell your daughter best of luck and she will get to see alot of the world and just think of all the vacations spots you may get to see!

- Hi Welcome from Dawna!! My daughter Heather was in DIV 214. She however is going to A school at GL. She originally was gonna be in charge of water, waste, and oil purification systems...she now wants to be an EOB(finding dearming or detonating bombs!!)Moms not a happy camper!! She has liberty for the 4th, hoping to change her mind(But I doubt it!!)This website is invaluable!!so much info to share! Looking forward to many conversations with you and other moms!!

Sam is on hold for about 3 months, she is hoping it isnt that long. Her and Miller are inseperable, I am so glad she has someone to hang out with. She is keeping busy and has req. that I send a list of things, mostly clothes. ahahhaha
She is allowed to wear civilian clothes now, so she is exstatic. lol

- Millie, I've been in Birmingham, AL for a long time now. I'm the evacuation (vacation) spot for most of my family. Come down there a lot though. It's home. My kids have always been to Mardi Gras and my daughter hopes she will be able to get leave to go next year. Have a safe trip and enjoy the time with your daughter.

Congrats on your daughter! that's an amazing role, you'll definitely see her right away! my husband is going to be a flag holder as well but i'm not sure which one since he forgot to mention it in his letter. Speaking of letters, i usually get mine on wednesday but because of memorial day weekend all letters came a day later. With that said i got two of his letters today (apparently they were also allowed to write on memorial day so we get a bonus letter. yay!) So im pretty sure that you're gonna get yours tomorrow :). Don't worry save your "screaming power" on graduation day for your daughter ;). haha. and NO you are not crazy at all. hope to meet you there as well.
