About me:
I am a Registered Nurse & mom of 2 plus 1 (he adopted me & I love him like my own). Nicholas is 25, Ashley (20) enlisted July 07, is an IT3 (hopefully an IT2 when the results are out in Nov) stationed in Hawaii and Tim (20) enlisted in Feb 08' & is in security aboard the USS Nimitz which is currently deployed.

Navy Moms send 6500 Christmas Stockings and Goody Bags to Nimitz Strike Group 11

The USS Nimitz Strike Group deployed in July. Initially they were to deploy for 6 months however they learned that the deployment had been extended to a long 8 months. I think we took it harder than our Sailors did, so we decided together that we wanted to do something special for Nimitz Carrier Strike Group 11 (CSG 11). CSG-11 includes the USS Nimitz and her airwing, USS Chosin, USS Pinckney, USS Rentz and USS Sampson. The 5 ships together have a crew of about 6400 Sailors and Marines.
