I thought I saw something in one of the newsletters a while back under the Chaplains corner section. I don't know what month newsletter it was and I can't find my October or November newsletter so I may deleted it. If I remember right it didn't me...

Julie, That sounds really good. My Aunt in Ireland makes an awesome trifle but she puts brandy in hers. I may have to try this in addition to pumpkin pie. I would say instead of but I know that if I didn't have pumpkin pie there would be some comp...

Petty Officer Stoelton, I don't want to turn this ship /boat thing into an argument but I did want to clarify so there is no confusion. I was in the Navy for 8 years but it was 5 years ago that I got out so I e-mailed my husband who is on the Nimi...

I had to go take care of Elsa for a few minutes. Home made bread is my husband's favorite. He always knows when I want something if he comes home and there is fresh baked bread. Linda, It was me who said that we tell our girls that Daddy is out he...

Sharon, I think that the Exchange has had it where you could only buy the cards in bulk for a while now. It is upsetting because you can't buy the individual cards. They do sell the individual card on the ship so if your son has one already and yo...

Jennifer, It is true that they always know that something is bothering us and I know my husband will start imagining what is wrong and it is always a lot worse than what is actually happening. I usually tell him what is going on but I do spare him...

Julie, That is good that you are trying to be positive for your sailor but don't be afraid to share things with your sailor. My husband can always tell when something is bothering me and he knows that something is not right because even without kn...

Janice, I saw you comment about finally being able to eat at the dining room table and I laughed because we have been eating at the card table that I use for when we have holidays at our house. I will just leave it out since Thanksgiving is at my ...

It is always best to call the ship a ship even if it is your ship. Subs are always called boats. There are some boats on the ship, those are the RHIB (rigged hull inflatable boats) and the Captains gig.

Our Family will be keeping the Navy Mom in our thoughts and prayers. That is a lot for one person to go through.

Maggie, I am sure you are busy with the girls but I posted about a email from Michael
today the John Deere Santa hat was a huge hit with him. It was a wonderful restart
of a bad morning. I haven't written you in a while I have been in and out of the site.
I hope you and the girls are doing well. I am sure they and you are missing daddy
since its the holidays. I am sure you do everyday but they seem to make it harder.
Take care you guys I hope Johnnie is doing well hope to hear from you.
Sincerely, Sam

I sorry to hear you are not been feeling well. Get out the Lysol mom spray everthing
down everyday. That was how I kept my self from getting their viruses from school
and stuff. I am glad to here you are giving yourself a break much deserved at that.
And I do look forward to getting to meet you for the homecoming as long as my
health hold up. Struggling a little right now if not better by Tuesday I fill my hospital
suite a waiting me for a 5 to 7 day large Iv steroid 4 times a day. Which usually
happens about every 6 months. I got may IV again today and it hasn't kicked in
like the one I had 2 weeks ago. It is not fun but it is what I have to do to try and
not get worse. If I ignore it it could turn out to be bad so I am on top of it. You take
care of yourself and the girls! And hope you get to feeling better soon.
Sincerely, Sam

Maggie I left you a message on the Nimitz site. I understand but am sorry to hear you
are sounding like you won't be on much. I think you are a awesome woman and I do
truely hope to get to meet you at the ships Home Coming if you husband doesn't
fly home. I hope things are ok with you and I. And I haven't upset another apple cart
I seem to be real good at that. This has been a rocky Christmas project but we did it
and that is what counts the sailors and ships company.

Maggie, Welcome to the Carl Vinson group, great bunch of ladies here, also we have a sailor to answer any questions you may have on the page as well. Is your husband on the Carl Vinson? Or on the Nimitz? I see you joined that group as well. They are a bunch of fun loving ladies, I just sit back and read what they write, and it makes me laugh, they have really been working hard on the Holiday Cheer project. We are almost there to cover all the ships. HO HO HO! Santa is on his way to the USS Nimitz.

Maggie, I didn't know you were going to school too. You have your hands full its not
a minute to spare. I am glad you got to talk to Johnnie, As I said Michael didn't call
that was ok. It is hard on the boys and I leave them out of it. He didn't call his dad
when he was in port either. My parents were divorced too I went thru the same thing
as Johnnie and you with my parents. It was my mom that is why I refuse to do that to
my boys. Michael just feels like his dad is stupid. So I just don't talk about it to
either of them. And Michael is really mature for 22 and he tends to be forward like his
mom. Well you take care and best of luck wishes for school. I will check on you again.
