Profile Information

About me:
My husband and I have been happily married for 26 years. Our daughter graduated OCS in May 2009, she's on her first assignment in Virginia and she loves it! We also have a grown son who is a free spirit. I'm enjoying spreading out and downsizing in our home now that we are "empty nesters". It's a real adjustment! I've been following politics for the past several years and am as conservative as they come but my true faith is not in man but in Jesus Christ, my Lord and soon-coming King.
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I have great respect for our military. God bless and protect our troops from enemies both foreign and domestic!

Lincoln's Thanksgiving Address 1863

Thanksgiving was not formally made a federal holiday until 1941. However, it has been celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November annually since President Abraham Lincoln delivered the address below in 1863. Happy Thanksgiving

The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added which are of soContinue

Persistence

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” Calvin Coolidge

George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation

Thanksgiving Proclamation
[New York, 3 October 1789]

By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowled… Continue

Thank you Deborah, I really appreciate your welcome. And I love your page!

I know this will be a wonderful growth experience for our entire family and we are all so supportive of my Mike. He's a great guy, and we hate to let him go, but go he must.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Again that brought tears to my eyes because it is sooo true. I do volunteer work at safe home for abused woman and their children and oh how the Lord blesses there, and the woman and children feel safe in God arms and in His care. I counsel with young single teenage and middle age single pregnant woman that need all the love and care and someone to talk to. It brings joy to my heart when I can encourage them with the word of God and do something in their lives to lighten their burdens. Just recently a young lady that works with me took a job helping a lady with a stroke and she says she sees God in what she is doing, I do too. That was wonderful, I'm going to pass it on. God Bless and we love you.
