When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Patience; how to support from a distance; how to let go and watch my son soar.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Did not know that he had gotten hurt. So sorry to hear that -- hope it wasn't too serious. Glad to hear that he is doing better. Sara can't wait to leave Corpus. She's been very unhappy socially. Assuming she flew today she has one more flight to go and she'll be done. Again, best wishes to Shaun in JAX.

Hi, I posted a blog last month regarding our sending holiday cheer to the Nimitz Strike Group. If you're still interested in helping, please let me know what you would like to send. Most are sending stockings w/ candy or goodie bags w/ treats from home. Thanks, Pat

Hope you are feeling better!!! Yes my son and DIL arrived in Tampa with the big moving van and thre 5 pets. They found a rental house and have been moved in 2 wks. I am sure I have will have more questions in the future when he is closer to his graduation from USF . I do know that he and another guy are the only 2 yr ROTC scholarship receipients in his unit, with most being the 4 yr. He is prior enlisted too, so he and the other guy are different from the others. They may have a very different experience than the others. But he is adjusting to college life again and taking things a day at a time. I saw your photos of your son's winging on another site. I know you are so proud of him and I am sure he is glad to have been successful and accomplished so much! Does he know where he is assigned yet? I wish him the very best. Thanks for checking in on me. I am still in California, returning to Kentucky the first of November. Have a great weekend.
