We will be arriving on Friday and then I will be flying back home on Tuesday. My husband will be going on the cruise M-W. Hopefully, at some point, we will run into each other.

- Hi Margo - not sure if you'll see this since I'm sure you're probably at the commissioning ceremony. Anyway, I was wondering if you can offer some advice on how I can send some money to my son via a wire transfer. He emailed me his account number but when I went to the Tucson Fed Credit Union, they said there were too many numbers and the transaction couldn't go thru. They tried several different combinations and nothing worked. I know, this sounds pretty strange that he didn't know his account number, but this is the first time we were trying out a money transfer.
I called and left several messages on my son's cell phone to have him double check his information, but he's probably been too busy getting ready for the ceremony. Reason why this is urgent is that he said he won't have any money until Nov 1, so I just wanted to help him out a little until he gets paid.
When he came to visit me, he lucked out and found himself a nice car which he was able to drive back to San Diego, so now, at least he has some transportation, but he spent most of the money he saved up for the car so I wanted to wire him some money in the meantime to tie him over.
If you know the correct amount of numbers that are supposed to be on a Navy Fed's savings and checking account, I would appreciate your assistance. Otherwise, if I mail him a cashier's check, it may take too long to reach him before they ship out again. Also, what exactly is the ship's mailing address to ensure it gets to him, if I have to send it to him that way. If it would be quicker to get in touch with me, my cell number is: (619) 358-0381.

- Hi Wanda - sorry I haven't been in touch for a while. Still having trouble being able to read your replies. When I click on the "comment" area, it just keeps taking me back to my page or when I click on your name, it takes me to your web site and I still can't see any emails that you've sent me.
But anyway, just wanted to let you know that my son surprised the heck out of me. I had returned from a business meeting Monday night and was in the process of taking out the garbage when I heard someone say, "'bout time you got home". Lo and behold, I turned and he was standing there. He drove a rental from San Diego to visit with me while he had some leave time. Has to go back on 5 Oct.
If you could, and perhaps pass this along to the other moms as well, he's looking for a vehicle, something comparable to a lincoln or buick that has a lot of leg room. He's '6 4" and needs to room up front for his legs. No trucks please. If you know of someone in Tucson or San Diego, have them send me an email at: mary.avery@dm.af.mil, and I can pass the info along to him. Thanks

Yes, thank you. My son sent me the article. Great article about the ship and then I get to the bottom and there is my sons name. I got the chils it was so exciting. His drums are his passion, I sent them to him before they shipped out.
