Hi Marilyn, When your son graduated from Power School in SC did you go back for the ceremony? I'd be interested in hearing about it. Our son is an ET3 and will complete Power School in February. I'm sorry to hear that you don't get to see your son too often---or your grandchildren. That must be hard for you. You mention that he re-enlisted. At what point did that happen? I know they want to keep their nukes for as long as possible after all that training. Great for the Navy.....hard on moms.
Talk to you soon. ~~~~Patricia

Hi Marilyn, Yes, it is a small world, I keep meeting moms who lived here at one time or another. I actually grew up in San Bruno so have lived around here most of my life. My husband was in the Navy when we married (39 yrs ago) and we were stationed in Japan for 2 years. Both my parents were in the Navy also. I guess it shouldn't have come as such a surprise when our son decided to enlist but it was. Is your son in the nuclear field too? How long as he been in? I hope your sailor gets to come home for the holidays!
Thanks for writing. ~~~~Patricia
