Profile Information

I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My son viewed the Navy as an opportunity for him to learn valuable life and job skills and to serve his country. He has learned so much since he enlisted.

He is a Corpsman serving as an Optician Technician in the health clinic at Atsugi Naval Facility in Japan.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI- The largest Naval Air Facility in the Pacific, Atsugi Naval Air Facility is home to Carrier Air Wing Five. NAF Atsugi lies in the heart of the Kanto Plain on the main island of Japan.

Our son David is a Hospital Corpsman serving as an Optician Technician in the Health Center at Atsugi Naval Air Facility in Japan. Shown below is David administering an eye exam in the You Tube video below.

How's life treating you these days? I'll be back as a Hoosier in just a few hours for way too short of a time. Reconnected with a good college friend from Manchester college on facebook.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

Hey Mark,

I was a member of the site when it first was commissioned way back when. I was a recruiter and still a member of Recruiting Command. I currently work at RTC GREAT LAKES. So, my intital intent was to help anyone that had any questions concerning well just about anything. I would love to join the site for dads too if you send me the link. Send it to Kentuckychief@yahoo.com and I will see what I can do to spread the wealth of knowledge that I have with anyone that wants to listen. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the report Mark. I've removed her from the site. If you ever see anything like that again, please let me know!

Mmm. Thank you for the lovely pastries! How was the beer? A little flat and tasteless? haha

Hope all is well with all your family. :-) I have begun counting the days till C gets home and brings back some chaos into the home.

When you said you lived on N4M, I guess you meant it. Was surprised this morning when I came on and saw your comment from last night. Yes, we had a real good time meeting everyone. I am sure we will be there the next time they have a get together. It is really good to talk to others who have already gone through this. I am sure that the other couple (Jeff and Tina) , whose son is just getting ready to go t o BC, will find alot of info on this website. I know it has been a life saver for me and now to have met the people who I talk to online as made it even more special.
