Proud Navy Mom

Profile Information

About me:
I am the mom of three children with the oldest stationed in GL.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I am proud to be an American!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Psalm 91 KJV
(1) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
(2) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in Him will I trust.
(3) Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,
and from the noisome pestilence.
(4) He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings
shalt thou trust: His truth shall be they shield and buckler.
(5) Though shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
(6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
(7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right
hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
(8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and
see the reward of the wicked.
(9) Because thou has made the Lord, which is my refuge,
even the Most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep the in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands,
lest though dash thy foot against a stone.
(13) Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder:
the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because He hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver Him: I will set Him on high, because He hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer Him: I will be with Him in
trouble; I will deliver Him, and honor Him.
(16) With long life will I satisfy Him, and show Him my salvation.

Josh was doing quite well yesterday, when I spoke to him. He said he got a 100 on his Tag 2 test, whatever that is....he said it was important...He's ready to beat feet out of the Enterprise tomorrow, still doesn't know what ship he's goin to though. How's Mike?

Hi Mary,

Well, I just couldn't let her demean our young Sailors, who ARE doing their best, any longer! I just hope I don't get banned for speaking out! He-he...

Good morning Mary! Soke with Josh this morning. He grads SCC on Monday, and will get transferred off the Enterprison....I wonder if he'll go back to the Franklin? He said something about ET's & FC's going to another set of buildings to wait for ATT and A school....I guess we'll have to wait and see next week. His average test score right now is a 94! Even with all that is going on over there, he says, "Mom, I just gotta stay focused and do what I have to do. Its not hard, if everybody did it, they'd be fine, but so many have no self control....I try to surround myself with successful, smart sailors, there are a lot of those you know. I don't want you to think their all bums, Mom..." He even said the theft has been a learning experience for him, even though he is still disgusted and mad about it. I so wish I was there to hug my boy, and tell him to his face how proud I am of his decisions and how I see maturity and growth in him...sniff...sniff...damn...tears...again..and your music only helps to make me wanna cry!

As soon as I see Ryan in uniform the tears will flow. It doesn't matter how many homecomings or graduations you see. You are always proud and sooo happy to hold them again. Thank you Mary You have been great.
