I live in Rhode Island and am a Member of the Rhode Island Blue Star Moms. We are a group of Military Mothers of all branches whose kids are currently or previously active. When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Be patient, especially if you have a son, and especially if they have a girl friend. They get very little phone time in basic and those calls won't be to mom unfortunately.........It is well worth the wait. I actually got a couple of letters and those I will cherish forever.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made
